@CyborgPeds @theoldsargesays The oldest military pilot I ever flew with was at the rotary-wing upgrade course at Ft Rucker. Mr. Lubert Wing was a contractor, 76 yrs old in 1994, and he was a WWII/Korea veteran who was already retired when Vietnam rolled around. It was truly an honor to fly with that man.
English

@theoldsargesays @PaveLowJohn So I actually knew that warrant officer as a flight student. He finished his career at HT-8 (or 18, can’t remember which).
English

It’s a good scene but he was too old for that role. I would have been in my late 30s as a squadron CO if I’d stayed on active duty. I definitely wouldn’t have needed reading glasses.
The Sting@TheStingisBack
James Tolkan has died at 94. "Son, your ego's writing checks your body can't cash." - Top Gun (1986) This scene is a masterclass in movie shorthand. In seconds you get Maverick’s attitude, his history, how he flies, and the entire setup. And Tolkan absolutely nails it.
English

@ThePhoenixPress Naw, gimme the old-school metal jungle gyms and slides from the 70s. Scalding hot in the summer, ice-cold in the winter, and guaranteed to send someone to the nurse's office once a month. Good times....

English

@thestinkeye Don't let him emotionally blackmail you with his dead friends or their kids. Pilots die all the time in peace-time training and exercises. Do we stop doing those because of the fatalities? And last time I checked, we were all volunteers who signed up for a dangerous job.
English

PTSD from moral injury is a real thing, and I am not asking you to set that aside. I am simply suggesting that, until there is evidence of prep for a ground-invasion sort of adventurism (and the nation-building, phase IV that usually comes with that), let’s see if it’s possible we can return to our punitive expedition roots, kill everything bad and leave.
Again, we have ALL suffered the same moral injury, and the lasting emotional effects are real. The question is: can we rise above those emotional effects and stick a bacon-grease-laden-fork in this Islamist Theocratic Regime that has directly and indirectly killed our people… and start a new story? Or will we remain slaves to that moral injury and maintain the status quo?
You and I are on the same side. I hope you eventually come to see that.

@thestinkeye @Avaviel Go ahead and unfollow, I’m never going to support military adventurism in the Middle East. I’ve watched enough of my friends kids grow up without a dad for nothing.

@infantrydort @McCainJack cont.
Eventually, they place the interests of the "partner nation" over the interests of their own nation. It's sad to see, but after witnessing it a few times, you understand the dynamic at play. "Never forget which team you are on". Wise words for an advisor in any branch.
English

@infantrydort @McCainJack I was an aviation advisor for almost a decade with AFSOC, probably longer than Jack, and I know exactly what's going on here. He has a raging case of "Diplomat's Disease" and you see it in advisors all the time. They start identifying with that culture over their own.
English

Jack you’re not the moral authority on what an Afghan is @McCainJack .
You keep highlighting virtuous examples of them. Cool. You’re highlighting Afghan pilots who had higher IQ and can therefore understand terms like honor and right/wrong.
I was an advisor to these people. The rank and file. So when I call these people barbarians, I fucking mean it with every fiber of my being.
You assume too much. And you’re talking with way too much authority and shaming others for their JUSTIFIED views on these people.
You simp for less than 1% of Afghans who are justifiably good people and smart. Then you extrapolate it to include the whole country.
I’m here to tell you that you don’t speak for us, especially the average Infantryman who suffered in the dirt and dust with these “people” 12-15 months at a time.
Stop belittling others or I’ll happily belittle you.

@AmanogawaShiina Good to hear you're feeling better, breaks really are an unappreciated part of Vtubing. Take care and we'll see ya on stream!
English

Sad Bee went to an amusement park today! 🥰❤️
Streams will resume in 3 days. Thank you so much for your patience.
I don’t want to get into a lot of personal things but I really needed time to work on not only work but some personal health struggle that I’ve been grappling with that was affecting my executive function. 🥺❤️ I am doing a lot better and am ready to see you again very soon cookie! ❤️

English

@Kotazumaa @TsubasaClips Yeah, that last clip of Erina really put the hurt on Dizzy's brain, lol. At least she has a couple of weeks to recover....
English

Made it to Phase Weekly two weeks in a row! Mine was the opening clip this time!
TsubasaClips 🐹❤️🩹@TsubasaClips
Made it to Phase Weekly again after a long time!

@popkornman111 Here is a set-up my brother did for a "pig pickin" last summer, it was about 50 lbs of pulled pork after it was all done (took him all night and most of the morning to do it that way, he used to actually put it in the ground before he built his latest bbq pit)

English

@BollweevilK01 Probably the cute one that pretends to be very kind and lovable but is actually an evil genius hell-bent on world domination....aka Jelly, lol
English

@TheBuddyCSM @darkwolf9375 This is going to be just like "Firebirds" was for all the Apache guys, isn't it? lol

English

@darkwolf9375 I don’t know what you mean. RIP was exactly like this.
English

As someone that went to RASP early on in his career this film is a fucking disgrace, I don’t even want to try watching it. None of this shit is even close to accurate.
