Data that can be verified is not an improvement on the existing system. It is a different architecture for the relationship between people, files, and time. #Walrus

This shifts a foundational assumption: instead of trusting the storage provider, you now verify what is stored. The difference sounds small in words, but the consequences are large. The internet was built on trust in servers. Web3 is built on verification of states.

We store data everywhere: in clouds, on servers, inside applications. But few people stop to ask whether what is stored can actually be trusted. Not in the sense of “will it get hacked,” but “is this still exactly what was uploaded?” @WalrusProtocol answers that question.
