That IS what the Catholic Church teaches. Ever read your catechism. It says that you can never know if you're saved. You have to go to Mass. You have to do the Eucharist. You have to do good works. Denying it doesn't make what you said, true. And since you choose to insult, Ciao. I block immature people who think they need to insult. Tell Mary I said, "hello" by the way. Oops. She can't hear you. 🤦‍♂️

I read the Bible a lot, literaly every day, so it's guaranteed I'll read the entire Bible at least once in a year. Because I do that, It's really easy for me to go through the entire Bible focusing specifically on a certain subject like Catholicism. I've done it several times now, and every time I do catholicism only gets worse. There is no justifying it, none whatsoever. It only becomes more and more clear that Roman Catholicism is satan's counterfeit and the mother of all harlots.

@lsanger @PawleSardano I'm not sure when you became such a pathetic snowflake, @lsanger , but it definitely doesn't become you. It makes you look weak and emasculated. It's sad to witness. I'm sorry you're going through that. Might as well block this one, too, my friend. You're doing me a favor.

@PawleSardano @Truth_matters20 I have met many Catholics in real life, mostly decent people. Those I’ve met on here have soured me on the church. Almost all represent the opposite of that which they claim. I am done with Catholics for quite awhile at this point. Have a good day.

@unrak01 @PawleSardano @DarthKirby009 @Truth_matters20 Wait until you learn that Jesus insulted people more than 79 times in recorded scripture alone… LOL
Pawle Sardano@PawleSardano

Are you saying insults are unchristian? Jesus himself insulted people 79 times just in recorded scripture alone. Below are a few examples from JUST the book of Matthew, not counting the rest of the gospels or the book of Revelation: 1. Matthew 6:2—“Hypocrites” 2. Matthew 6:5—“Hypocrites” 3. Matthew 6:16—“Hypocrites” 4. Matthew 7:5—“Hypocrites” 5. Matthew 7:6—“Dogs” 6. Matthew 7:6—“Pigs” 7. Matthew 7:15—“Ravenous wolves” 8. Matthew 7:23—“Workers of lawlessness” 9. Matthew 8:26—“You of little faith” 10. Matthew 10:15—Jesus equates whole Jewish towns with “Sodom and Gomorrah” 11. Matthew 11:21–22—Jesus says the current cities of Chorazin and Bethsaida are worse than the Baal-worshiping cities condemned by the OT prophets of “Tyre and Sidon” 12. Matthew 11:23–24—Capernaum is worse than “Sodom” 13. Matthew 12:34—“Brood of vipers” 14. Matthew 12:39—“An evil and adulterous generation” 15. Matthew 12:41—This generation is worse than “Nineveh” 16. Matthew 12:45—This “evil generation” is akin to being demon-possessed 17. Matthew 12:46–49—Jesus rejects his family by implying that his mother and brothers are not really his mother and brothers 18. Matthew 15:7—“Hypocrites” (Pharisees take offense at this Matthew 15:12) 19. Matthew 15:14—“Blind guides” 20. Matthew 15:26–27—Calls the Gentiles “Dogs” 21. Matthew 16:4—“An evil and adulterous generation” 22. Matthew 16:23—Jesus says to Peter, “Get behind me, Satan” 23. Matthew 17:17—“Faithless and twisted generation” 24. Matthew 21:28–32—Jesus says to the crowd they are worse than the “tax collectors and prostitutes” 25. Matthew 22:18—“Hypocrites” 26. Matthew 22:29—Jesus says to the religious leaders (Sadducees) that they don’t know “the Scriptures” or the “power of God” 27. Matthew 23:13—“Hypocrites” 28. Matthew 23:15—”Hypocrites” 29. Matthew 23:15—Jesus calls the Scribes and Pharisees “children of hell” 30. Matthew 23:16—“Blind guides” 31. Matthew 23:16—“Blind fools” 32. Matthew 23:19—“Blind men” 33. A detailed response means nothing from someone as vile as you. Steelman my position and I’ll unblock you.
Pawle Sardano@PawleSardano

@NorthrPolemics I'm most definitely planning on getting back to you with a detailed response. I'm out running errands and responding from my phones. When the errands are finished and the dog has been walked, I plan to open up the laptop. Because this discussion deserves a detailed response.

@grok @PawleSardano @NorthrPolemics Apparently @NorthrPolemics realized those last few posts make him look foolish and has decided to block my other profile. That’s usually what ignorant Protestant mental midgets do when they realize they’re unarmed for a serious discussion.

Yes, the Joint Declaration shows Catholic teaching aligns with justification by God's grace through faith in Christ—not by works earning or boasting merit for salvation. Good works are fruits of that grace-enabled faith, as both sides affirmed. The document explicitly states the 16th-century mutual condemnations no longer apply to the other's core teachings.

Real exchange from the Bible scholars over at The View: Joy Behar says Jesus didn't run around saying He's the Messiah, says it would be narcissistic to do so. Haines: "When you are the Messiah, it's not narcissism to say it." Behar: "Yes it is."

@joeybrite1 @MsVulpi @VeiledThe28739 You’re such a mental midget, too stupid to realize that YOU made a claim and therefore YOU need to support your claim. It’s not on anyone else to go looking for evidence in support of YOUR claim. You’ve never been accused of being bright, have ya? You’re a very, very dim bulb.

The President of the United States said I insulted Jesus. You want to know what insults Jesus? Kicking the sick off their healthcare. Bombing schoolchildren in Iran. Deporting moms and babies. Covering up the Epstein files.

It was with real sadness that I learned that the monks of the Abbey of La Trappe in Normandy are considering closing down their operation. As the name suggests, this monastery is the mother house of the Trappist Order, a reform of the Cistercian movement and a particularly intense form of Benedictine life, famous for its austerity and silence. I came to know of La Trappe through Thomas Merton, a Trappist monk of the Abbey of Gethsemani in Kentucky, whom I read with great passion when I was a young man. La Trappe shaped Merton, who in turn opened so much of the spiritual life to me. Founded over nine hundred years ago, La Trappe has survived the Black Death, the Hundred Years' War, the Protestant Reformation, the French Revolution, and the world wars of the twentieth century. That this venerable monastery cannot find enough vocations to keep it alive is, in my judgment, a sign of the spiritual disaster that has befallen Europe in the last hundred years: an ideological secularism that is rotting the soul of the West. Let's redouble our prayers that the monks of La Trappe might find a way to preserve their great Abbey. It is needed especially now.

@Truth_matters20 Jesus gave the authority to forgive sins in John chapter 20. God gave us 5 senses. It’s powerful for us to HEAR that we have been forgiven, spoken by someone who God has given the authority to forgive sins in his name. The priest is merely speaking God’s forgiveness.
