It helps people plan for the future a little better. A lot of times towards the end of October we get a strong signal that hurricane season is pretty much over for certain parts of the country. The fact that he is saying that this setup is unlikely to send a storm towards Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, or the FL panhandle, that helps those people not be on high alert for no reason. And it helps us down here in FL, because whatever we did to protect our property for Milton, we might not want to take it all down right away, just in case. This guy was spot-on for Helene long before other major meteorologists were taking it very serious, and he explained the whole setup really well. If you think he's fear mongering, then maybe you should just get off of social media because you obviously don't know the difference between fear mongering and genuine efforts to inform the public of possible long-range issues to deal with. I personally do believe something will develop out of this pattern in about a week, and yes, S FL is climatologically favored for impacts, so we do have to keep this in mind. I think another major hurricane landfall here is unlikely, but we also cannot rule it out yet. My best guess is that some sloppy tropical storm comes out of this pattern in the next 7-10 days, but I think the opportunity might be there for it to squeak out just east of FL or scoot right on west into Central America. But the fact that we are aware of this upcoming setup helps people to plan things a little better. So stop picking on Bernie for being so good at what he does.

I feel strongly there will be tropical development (TD or named storm) late next week in the Central/Western Carib. Where would it go? I see 2 main options. (1) A move toward Central America (2) or South Florida. location of development and rockies trough are keys to movement
