We studied this. From 2008 to 2018, immigrants showed up for court 83% of the time. If there’s been a collapse in appearance rates, it’s because the Trump admin started ARRESTING people at hearings — often BEFORE they were ordered deported. The message was clear; don’t show up.

Last week in San Antonio,Tx immigration courts EOIR had 33 scheduled court hearings for illegal aliens with Notices To Appear NTA, Merits Hearings, Credible Fear reviews and asylum withholding hearings. Not one invader showed up to court. Zero, triggering an automatic deportation removal order. This is a shift in recent months due to the Trump Admin and DOJ enforcing immigration laws and reducing adjournments. As well as over 100 new judges that want to keep their new jobs.

After much reflection, I have decided to resign from my position as Director of the National Counterterrorism Center, effective today. I cannot in good conscience support the ongoing war in Iran. Iran posed no imminent threat to our nation, and it is clear that we started this war due to pressure from Israel and its powerful American lobby. It has been an honor serving under @POTUS and @DNIGabbard and leading the professionals at NCTC. May God bless America.
