Need your help, BookTwitter. I'm running a National Year of Reading event for to 14-18 yr olds. Name one book that at around that age lit up your imagination. @Helen_Fields Carrie, Pet Sematary, IT, Weaveworld, Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, Rosemary's Baby, The Dice Man. A few I remember reading as a teen which really stuck with me. Also, Spares and Shutter Island - which I read later but are personal faves!

@FightingOnFilm Tough one to answer, i would prefer accurate over entertainment, but i do like Where Eagles Dare . I also think as a viewer you need to dig deeper into any film to separate the facts from the on screen rather than take everything you seen on screen as being a true to life story

@adbrora @FightingOnFilm I was thinking Gettysburg and then the new(ish) Civil War(2024) Hunt for Red October and then Crimson Tide. The Magnificent Severn and then Young Guns Black Hawk Down and Bat 21 And I still say Rouge One and A New Hope, yes its Star Wars , but I can live with that.

@PcarBurns @FightingOnFilm It’s great listening. I was thinking of some more last night. Wild Geese then Blood Diamond The Way Ahead then Carry On Sergeant Attack! then 8 Iron Men The Caine Mutiny then A Few Good Men The General (1926) then Railway Tigers Reach For The Sky then Born On The Fourth Of July

@Flo_Flo_Flossy @Lardyda44 As a man from Surrey I would of said no many years ago it is the best ground & best view but as I now live in Mid Wales I would also say watching @WorcsCCC at New Road in the sunshine is just a good, if not better.

@FightingOnFilm , if you wanted sci-fi themed double bill then I think you could go with Star Wars with Rouge One and then A New Hope, I might even do this on Saturday

@FightingOnFilm To add to the double bill , and to see a different view again then maybe you could watch Danger Close which is about the Australian involvement in this war.
