Important update and clarification regarding my previous posts about the @peaq tokenomics and the question whether $PEAQ has a hard cap or not. Those posts sparked quite a bit of discussion and the topic eventually made its way into the peaq Discord. Here’s the situation: In the current peaq documentation it says that peaq does NOT have a hard cap. However, co-founder @WendlerTill replied to one of my posts saying that “for example many people are not aware that peaq has a hard cap.” According to statements from the team in the Discord (screenshot) discussion, the conflicting information seems to come from the fact that the tokenomics are currently being updated across multiple sources (website, CMC, CoinGecko, etc.) to align with what Till mentioned earlier. So the confusion people noticed most likely comes from documentation that simply hasn’t been fully updated yet. Just to clarify my own position: I’ve posted about this topic multiple times, but it was never about pointing fingers at anyone from the team. peaq is a large ecosystem and it’s unrealistic to expect the team to jump into every discussion happening on X. At the same time, it’s equally unrealistic to assume that everyone interested in peaq follows every AMA or reads every Discord update. That gap between where information appears and where people actually look for it is exactly why community discussions matter. Those are the discussions I value the most — when the community actually digs into topics like tokenomics, governance or long-term mechanics. Not the usual “scam!” “give up on this project” or even the post from a friend wishing for “peaq to 0” (who ironically is the person who introduced me to peaq... bro, let's meet for a drink). If my posts helped spark a constructive discussion like this, that’s a positive outcome. Now I’m simply looking forward to the updated tokenomics so everyone can work with the same information. And to the rage-baiters: I still believe in peaq.
