If Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim fails to deliver meaningful reforms within the next six months, DAP will reassess its role in the government, party secretary-general Anthony Loke said.
However, he was quick to stress that this does not mean DAP - which holds the largest number of federal seats in the government - would withdraw its support for the Madani administration and risk triggering political turmoil.
While Loke did not specify, the reassessment could include DAP pulling out of the cabinet and moving to the government backbench.
“I have made it very clear today, and I hope all the media will quote this sentence - ‘DAP will not let this government fall until the next general election’."

Selepas PRN Sabah, saya melihat DAP seolah-olah ditolak pengundi. Saya menjangkakan perkara sama mungkin berlaku dalam PRN Melaka dan Johor nanti. Pada pandangan saya, kerajaan PH tidak akan bertahan lama kerana ramai rakyat tidak berpuas hati dengan kepimpinan Anwar.
Menurut pemerhatian saya, tekanan terhadap Anwar semakin meningkat dan kelemahan pentadbiran beliau semakin jelas kelihatan. Ramai yang menjangka kerajaan ini akan runtuh dan satu perubahan baharu bakal berlaku.

An International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) lecturer who went viral for claiming that ancient Romans learned shipbuilding from the Malays has defended her academic hypothesis, stating that she is the victim of a “media lynching.”
The university, however, has distanced itself from her remarks, saying it regrets her actions, which have tarnished its reputation, and has launched an internal investigation.
In a Facebook post, Professor Dr Solehah Yaacob, an Arabic language and linguistic thought expert, stood by her theory, which she said was “developed through extensive study of classical Arabic sources.”
“My hypothesis concerning the achievements of the Malays and the borrowings of the Romans may be right or wrong. However, in both our academic and Islamic traditions, we are taught to respect differing opinions,” she wrote.
