That red card for #SCFC shows why football is the absolute pits under this VAR instruction.
Fucking abysmal from Bolton player and officials.
Get VAR in the fucking bin!
@Alex_Lipniski You can clearly see the players Chally never wanted. Powell
Mothersille and Fiorini he leaves them on the bench or digs them
Out in interviews and then they play like shit for an entire season.
@PeaLauncher Then it was a poor choice by the club & blew 1 million of an important budget. That’s why I give Chally leeway because I cannot believe he said ‘I want Mothersille as my first choice Left Winger for any price necessary.’ When clubs screw up, it’s a collective mistake
Not a fan personally of calling for DC’s head. Depends on the spin you want to put on this season. I tend to think we’re worse off & overachieved which is a testament to DC & therefore his future shouldn’t be in doubt. #StockportCounty
@Alex_Lipniski MM was the most snap signing ever, it was a panic retaliation to Tanto going. I agree SW is not whiter than white in his selection process of players.
@PeaLauncher I agree Chally’s interview was rather ambiguous. Money ≠ good recruitment or any success at all. But Corey O’Keeffe, Fiorini, MM11, these players all made it onto the list & have been underwhelming during their spells here… somewhere down the line the list hasn’t been right
@Alex_Lipniski Im pretty sure with the money we spend he should not be picking dross from any sort of lists. SW has gone now and having just listened to Challys interview i think he could possibly be on his way.
@PeaLauncher I don’t doubt their are third or fourth choices picked & there won’t be anything on that list. But if the list is 5 dross players, then it doesn’t matter who he picks is it? That’s my point regarding recruitment- we don’t know who’s made available to him
@Alex_Lipniski Sounds like Chally says he needs a centre back and SW draws up a list through whatever processes he uses. Chally then picks who he wants and probably ends up with the majority but sometimes third or even fourth choice.
@PeaLauncher So has Chally picked poorly? Or is the list not good enough? Has everyone he picked on that list the player he’s actually ended up getting? Because I don’t know (and nobody will know) the ins & outs of the recruitment- I tend to give DC the benefit of the doubt.
@PeaLauncher I don’t like the way we spend. I don’t like the seeming lack of positional specific recruitment. If that’s up to DC entirely, sure- he should go. I don’t think it is though. I don’t think he specifically went & asked for Sidibeh for example- just like I don’t think he did Malik
@Alex_Lipniski Take a look at our balance sheet the amount tossed away is alarming no manager has ever had access to those sorts of amounts in our history.
@PeaLauncher What was said budget? It was a top 10 budget (as per Stott/Chally when we first got promoted to L1) & we finished top 10. I am very very cautious about where we’ve spent money & I don’t like it in plenty of places though. Purely speculative whether players are signed by DC though
@Alex_Lipniski I think you just like arguing tbh mate. Read my comments we have performed like a mid table team all season. Thats literally how good we have been in performamce terms.
@PeaLauncher It depends how you want to measure that. I felt we were much better than Blackpool in both games including in performance, same for Wycombe, Doncaster, Huddersfield. We’ve taken 38 points off the mid table sides this season...
@PeaLauncher You never said that I couldn’t name specific opponents did you? Effectively youve said good performances against poor sides don’t count. I don’t dispute there’s not been enough ‘promotion worthy’ performances- you’re acting like weve been a relegation worthy side stumbling to 3rd
@PeaLauncher What I don’t dispute is that there hasn’t been enough ‘promotion worthy’ performances. Completely get you- that’s not a sackable offence for me.
@Alex_Lipniski Not moved any goal posts we were shit in some of those games as well. Think about what i am saying that over the season we have not played well in many games. You could have named any but you chucked in port vale who were dog shit and barnsley who couldnt be arsed says it all 🤷
@PeaLauncher Hang on- you’ve just moved the goal nets. I’ve just named 8 and you’ve said it’s not enough. Of those I’ve listed only one was anywhere near the relegation zone & one had nowt to play for which is a very selective interpretation of my games listed.
@Alex_Lipniski Its not many games in a season of 46 and a few of those against teams with nothing to play for or relegation material🤷 if you finish third you would expect 20/30 good performances, think its shows you actually how bad we have been.
@PeaLauncher Stevenage home (Poffs)
Barnsley away
Pboro at home
Cardiff at home
Cardiff away
Port Vale away
Doncaster away (league)
Huddersfield away
I’ve felt we’ve played pretty well in them games… I reckon I could also give you 8 where we were torrid.
@Alex_Lipniski I have thought all season he has hit his ceiling. I bet you cant name 8 games where we have actually been good this season. It was a poor league Lincoln proved that. Your not ready for the conversation about Chally but like i say it will hit home.
@PeaLauncher If you thought we did that against S’age in the playoff games then we’re going to get nowhere with this conversation. On top of that- you say it like it’s nightmarish…we finished third. If he’s hit a ceiling- we don’t go to Wembley at all because we wouldn’t have beat S’age
@Alex_Lipniski Of course thats what Chally wanted us to do… He has done the same Home and Away for months we are so predictable. Hes hit his ceiling can talk about it until the cows come home.
@PeaLauncher It wasn’t given ‘identical’ given that we didn’t play the same player or formation against Luton that we did today. I do agree though that was what the second half looked like. The part I disagree with is that you think that’s what Chally wanted us to do.
@Alex_Lipniski No mate it was DC’s plan its exactly how we set up against Luton in fact it was identical. Our game plan was balls into the channels and use pace, we simply offered nothing else.
@PeaLauncher I remember Jim Gannon saying ‘long balls are for players lacking confidence.’ I’d be asking questions of the quality of my midfielders if my defenders are constantly punting the ball. We also didn’t sit back as a result of the subs, we were sat back before them & after them..
@Alex_Lipniski Very vague but very true, Just aiming balls into the channels for pace all game same old record like against Luton Town. Then makes substitutions that unsettled the whole team and left us sat back deep. Keep the Chally love in mate but dont say you havent been warned….
@PeaLauncher ‘Tactics awful’ is very vague. There was absolutely nothing wrong with our first half performance. ‘Punting it to Sidibeh’ did work to a degree. Second half- we saw something that’s been there all season- an inability to be able to drag ourselves up the pitch & an inability to…
