Tinubu is using FAAC to fund his re-election. It has never been this bad. Tinubu raised PMS to ₦1400 then use the money to fund your re-election.

CONFLICTING JUDGMENTS AND JUDICIAL UNCERTAINTY: THE TIME FOR URGENT REFORMS IS NOW Justice loses its meaning when the law becomes uncertain. A judiciary that speaks in conflicting voices on similar issues risks eroding public confidence in the courts and weakening the foundation of the rule of law itself. Yesterday, at the Law Week of the NBA Anaocha Branch themed: “Justice Delivery and Prevailing Conflicting Judgements: An Imperative for Urgent Judicial Reforms,” I had the opportunity to address one of the most pressing concerns confronting our justice system. Across the country, lawyers and litigants are increasingly confronted with conflicting judicial decisions on similar issues, particularly in political matters. This growing inconsistency is making it extremely difficult for legal practitioners to advise clients with certainty on what the law truly is. As members of the legal profession, we are deeply concerned about the implications of this trend for the credibility of our courts and public confidence in the administration of justice. The law must remain predictable, consistent, and certain if society is to retain faith in the judicial process. I also drew attention to the uncertainty surrounding appeals from decisions of the Legal Practitioners Disciplinary Committee (LPDC). Today, lawyers who are sanctioned by the LPDC are often left in a state of limbo because of the unresolved controversy regarding the proper appellate forum. In some instances, the Supreme Court has referred affected lawyers to a non-existent Appeals Committee of the Body of Benchers, thereby creating procedural confusion and avoidable hardship. There is an urgent need for reform and a deliberate change in judicial attitude towards some of these recurring issues. Our justice system must inspire confidence, not uncertainty. I commend the NBA Anaocha Branch for choosing such a thought-provoking and timely theme for their Law Week. I also congratulate the Branch on the successful hosting of the programme and wish all members fruitful deliberations. Mazi Afam Osigwe, SAN President, Nigerian Bar Association

I have been made aware of the recent testimony by a former aide to a former state governor, in which he alleged that police officers claimed responsibility for the disappearance of Abubakar Idris Dadiyata in Kaduna. Since his abduction in 2019, my associates and I have consistently prayed and advocated for the authorities to conduct a thorough investigation and bring those responsible for his disappearance to justice. It is therefore reassuring that the Inspector General of Police, Olatunji Disu, has ordered a comprehensive investigation into this matter. I commend the Inspector General for this decisive and long-overdue action. While we await the outcome of the investigation, I urge the police authorities to place the named individuals under close surveillance to prevent any interference with the process. I also call on the government to ensure that, upon conclusion of the case, Abubakar Dadiyata (if still alive) and his family receive adequate compensation for the immense trauma and suffering they have endured. I equally commend the general public for their sustained advocacy and resilience in keeping this case alive, as well as Barrister Abba Hikima Fagge for his pivotal role in this latest development. We remain hopeful that this investigation will finally deliver truth and justice. - RMK

Pechon you don’t have to argue just wait and see what happens in Jan 2027 - Obi’s 2023 results were a fluke. The youths of Nigeria have moved on as they discovered more the true Peter Obi as a deceiver and propagandist. The Obidient movement is an Ibo ethnic movement has severely lost its shine. The use of Christianity by Obi in 2023 will never be allowed to happen again as Christians in Lagos, the Middle Belt and Nassarawa States will never allow themselves to be tool of political manipulation ever again! Tinubu and his Muslim/Muslim administration has not islamized Nigeria and quite the contrary, the majority of its beneficiaries are Christians up and down the country. A large and hefty disappointment awaits Obi in 2027 as he is wiped out politically in an inevitable defeat. Ibos are delusional and emotional people who never ever face reality, they must start looking for Peter Obi replacement now!

The way Nigerians switched from Labour to ADC and then to NDC because of @PeterObi should be studied in universities. This man is going to become President eventually in a free and fair election. The goal now should be ensuring that by any means necessary.

“If I do not provide steady electricity in four years, do not vote for me for 2nd Tenure,” -BAT Thirty-two months after being incharge and instead of living by his powerful words, he now dumps National Grid that has been performing abysmally under his watch. Those were the powerful words then that inspired hope among Nigerians who longed for light in their homes, stability for their businesses, and growth for their nation. Yet, while Nigerians are still grappling with that unfulfilled, categorical electoral promise - and without clear communication on the obstacles, if any, we read of provision in 2025 budget about the ₦10 billion for solar power at Aso Rock, and in 2026 budget another humongous amount for upgrade and maintenance and now we are being scarcitically told that Presidential Villa has planned to be disconnected from the national grid to rely entirely on solar. It is a gross neglect and deeply worrisome when the seat of power abandons the national grid. One would expect government institutions to lead efforts to strengthen and expand the grid so that other establishments, and ultimately, citizens can benefit. If those in authority disconnect themselves from the system, who then will connect the ordinary Nigerian to reliable power? Promoting renewable energy, as solar systems do, is commendable and necessary for the future. However, this situation reflects a deeper concern: governance lacking compassion and commitment to the governed. You cannot tell the people to fast while feasting yourself, securing yourself while Nigerians remain unsecured. Nigerians do not expect 100% fulfilment of promises, but they do expect 100% effort, accompanied by measurable improvements and clear explanations when gaps exist. Leadership must serve the people, not isolate itself from their daily struggles. -PO

Following today's court ruling, a press conference was given to address the plan by the @officialabat and the judge assigned to this case to subvert the course of justice. Their plan is to use this farcical trial to prevent our full revolutionary participation in the 2027 general election. We’ve asked Justice Garba Umar to recuse himself accordingly. #AACOurParty
