This guy might actually be a student, a lot of students go back to school on purpose just to attain this post. This year will even be more interesting because they will make more money from the election from assembly to HOR, from Senate to Governorship and the big cash cow will be presidency. So they will take everyone on their way away so as to attain this height.

Let me school you real quick . Osustech just introduced M.Sc about 3 years ago or so . Babtee has been walking and wandering about the campus for years moving from one lecturers office to another fighting for NANs position. He has used nothing less than 7 years as an undergraduate .

@olamide_adee You're fast to talk with little knowledge. NANS Constitution allows a Postgraduate student to contest. BABTEE is currently a M.Sc student of OAUSTECH.

@olamide_adee Dullard. So, someone whois that passionate about students in the school and the country at large, can't apply for M.Sc admission, so as to be eligible to contest in NANS? FYI, NANS has an internal mechanism to verify studentship.

BENUE JCC EMBRACES TRANSFORMATION, REAFFIRMS ENDORSEMENT OF BABTEE’S EPOCH BLUEPRINT In a remarkable and unprecedented show of solidarity, I was received amidst pomp, warmth, and cheers by the stakeholders, JCC executives, and comrades of Benue State. The atmosphere was electrifying and filled with hope, conviction, and a renewed belief in the transformative promise that the EPOCH Movement represents for Nigerian students. The meeting, which featured high-ranking stakeholders led by the Stakeholders’ Chairman, Comr. Anyebe Dominic, also had the active participation of Leader Eveh Dominic, Leader Paulo, Comr. Abah Owoicho, Comr. Yahaya, and several passionate comrades who turned out in their numbers. The JCC Chairman, Comr. Andrew, equally honoured the gathering with his presence, accompanied by his executives and senators of the axis, all demonstrating unity of purpose and a collective desire for progressive leadership. I began my remarks by sincerely appreciating the leadership of the Benue axis for the earlier endorsement message I received weeks ago. I stressed how deeply their trust touched me and how it has continued to propel my drive to become the next President of NANS. I clarified that my visit was not for campaign purposes, but solely to express gratitude and strengthen our bond of comradeship. I reminded them that Benue State is not far from the central structure of NANS, what is required is intentionality, coordination, and collective resolve. I further expounded on my vision under the EPOCH Blueprint, drawing their attention to the critical lapses within our educational system and the nation at large. I outlined clear strategies for bridging these gaps through empowerment, collaboration, innovation, and policy driven advocacy. I made it clear that my ambition is not merely to lead, but to redefine leadership through transparency, accountability, and actionable impact. The Stakeholders’ Chairman, Comr. Anyebe Dominic, applauded my consistency, focus, and humility, describing them as rare qualities in today’s political landscape. He then opened the floor for the JCC Chairman, executives, and senators to make their contributions. One after another, they reiterated their endorsement with renewed confidence, reaffirming their conviction in my capacity to deliver a student-centered and inclusive administration. Leader Paulo also took the stage, congratulating me wholeheartedly and urging me to remain steadfast in my promises. He emphasized the expectations placed upon me by the student community and encouraged me to uphold the integrity, commitment, and passion that have defined my movement from the outset. The voices in the hall echoed a shared understanding: that the EPOCH Movement is not just a campaign! it is a direction, a statement of purpose, and a collective readiness to rewrite the narrative of student leadership in Nigeria. The Benue declaration stands as yet another strong testament that the wind of transformation is sweeping across the country. As we move closer to our collective mandate, I remain grateful, resolute, and committed to justifying the trust reposed in me. Together, we shall usher NANS into a new era. One defined by progress, empowerment, unity, and undeniable impact. Comr. Akinteye Babatunde Afeez (BABTEE) Vanguard of The Epoch Movement and the Harbinger of the Blessed Era.

NIGER ENDORSES COMR. AKINTEYE BABATUNDE AFEEZ (BABTEE), THROWS ITS WEIGHT BEHIND HIM FOR NANS PRESIDENT In continuation of my nationwide campaign, my team and I advanced to the North Central, Zone C of our great association, with Niger State serving as the official flag-off point for this phase of the Epoch Movement. Upon arrival, I was warmly received by the Zonal Coordinator, Comr. Jamilu Ebbo, respected stakeholders led by Leader M-Square and Leader Gambo, JCC executives led by the Chairman, Comr. Yunusa Mustapha, and distinguished Senators within the axis. In my address, I sincerely expressed my deep appreciation for their unflinching support for my ambition, while also humbly seeking their continued blessings as we approach the polls. I hinted them about my agenda for the emancipation of Nigerian students, my plans for empowerment of stakeholders and past leaders and my vision to consolidate strongly on a NANS whose impact would be felt by all and sundry. I made them realize my promises are not mere words, as it is obvious that I have been tested with power severally and I have consistently proven that I am trustable. In response, the coordinator, Comr. Husseini Jamilu Ebbo saluted me for coming and he took me down memory lane, reminding me of how Niger state has always pitched their tents with me, with assurances that it would remain the same, this time too. The stakeholders led by the chairman of the forum, leader M-square, reaffirmed their total support for the movement, assuring me that Niger remains home at all times. Furthermore, in a remarkable show of acceptance and solidarity, the leadership of the Niger axis endorsed my candidacy for NANS President and subsequently honored me with Nupe traditional attire, and bestowed with the name “Indangi”, a gesture that deeply reflects their trust and cultural embrace. I remain profoundly grateful for this pure expression of love and support. I am confident that with this unity and shared vision, we will achieve success together. Comr. Akinteye Babatunde Afeez (BABTEE) VANGUARD OF THE EPOCH MOVEMENT.

Hon. Mohammed Bello El-Rufai
In the name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful. A few hours ago, the Rt. Hon. Speaker of the 10th House of Representatives, Hon. Tajudeen Abbas GCON, announced my letter of resignation from the All Progressives Congress (APC) and my formal move to the African Democratic Congress (ADC) at plenary. I am now a member of the ADC, and I will be seeking re‑election to continue representing the good people of Kaduna North Federal Constituency on this platform. I am joined in this new chapter by our respected elder, Hon. Engr. Suleiman Richifa, representing Soba, and my dear brother, Hon. Umar Ajilo, representing Makarfi/Kudan, who both defected from their previous parties to the African Democratic Congress. Together, we are building a home for progressive, people‑focused service. This decision was not taken lightly. As a proud son of Mallam Nasir @elrufai, I am guided by courage, conviction, and the unshakable belief that our people deserve the very best. To the people of Kaduna North: our work continues, and it will not stop. We will never compromise on delivering quality representation. There is still so much to do. By the grace of God, I will soon announce the ad hoc committee for the Primary Health Care initiative I unveiled last week. We will be equipping Primary Health Care Centres with medical supplies, starting with 1,000 syringes per PHC and other essential items. Phase I begins with two centres: Unguwar Sarki Ward and Badarawa/Malali Ward. May Allah SWT continue to guide us as we serve the people. And may He bless Nigeria with the best leaders. Signed Hon. Mohammed Bello El-Rufai Member. Kaduna North Federal Constituency Chairman, Committee on Banking Regulations. May 7, 2026.

Update on Covenant University: The family of late 500-level student Tunmise, REJECTED the school’s statement, NANS is now involved. A family source said the claim of an “undisclosed heart condition” is false. That they fabricated it and reached a conclusion without the their knowledge or a comprehensive review. Contrary to the university’s statement, Tunmise had no history of any underlying heart condition, nor is there any of such condition in the family. The family issued a statement highlighting inconsistencies in the school’s release, describing it as unconvincing. Apparently, they requested a comprehensive report on Tunmise’s passing for clarity, but Covenant University has yet to comply. As a result, the family plans to visit the school on Monday, April 13th 2026, to demand answers. Covenant University claimed that the 500-level student was brought in dead due to an underlying heart condition, and although CPR was administered, he did not survive. However, colleagues who took him to the medical centre told the family that he was alive upon arrival when the doctor asked them to leave. The doctor later called them back, asking what had happened, at the time he maintained that Tunmise was still alive. Based on these, the family strongly believes that Tunmise’s death resulted from medical negligence, as the school’s statement does not align with eyewitness accounts. The National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), through its Office of Private Institutions Affairs, expressed their condolences and has written to Covenant University requesting an independent investigation. Of which its panel would include law enforcement agencies, neutral observers, and student representatives to ensure transparency, fairness, and objectivity. NANS, led by Comrade Emmanuel Segun Amos, Director of Private Institutions Affairs, will be present at the school on Tuesday April 14th, 2026 for further discussions. This story will be updated.
