Peter Obi, 2023 presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), says he will work with every member of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in spite of the corruption allegations against them.
Speaking on Saturday on Magic FM in Aba, Abia state, Obi said getting closer to them offers him an opportunity to change them positively if they are guilty.
@PeterObi cited Jesus Christ in the Bible, whom he said associated with prostitutes and tax collectors while on earth, to change them positively.
“When Jesus came here, his friends were tax collectors and prostitutes because it’s all part of what he was trying to change. It was all part of what he was trying to build as a person,” Obi said.

Governor Bala Mohammed speaks on his failed defection to the APC and his planned move to the ADC. Bala said: We have found ourselves in a very serious situation. I have done everything possible to ensure reconciliation, but it has not worked. We set up committees at both the national and state levels to explore all options, including even the APC, but sadly, we discovered that we are not wanted there. As of now, ADC appears to be a very welcoming and acceptable platform. However, we have not concluded discussions. We are engaging stakeholders to ensure we do not make mistakes. We are amenable to joining the ADC if certain things and conditions are concluded. As of now, they are our preferred destination.
