John Cominsky was lightly recruited out of high school and ended up playing D-2 Football at the University of Charleston in West Virginia. After a few seasons in Atlanta he was cut by the Falcons and picked up by the Lions. He had a big year starting 8 games at DE - recording 30 tackles & 4 Sacks. He showed up to Detriot to sign a 2-Year $8.5 Million contract in a T-Shirt that said: "One year of focus and hustle can change your life forever."

Mark Appel was the first overall pick in the 2013 MLB Draft. After struggling in the Minor Leagues, he was designated for assignment in 2017, and stepped away from baseball in early 2018. He returned to the game in 2021 and made his Major League Debut tonight.
