Brisbane lions update: Contract news: Zac Bailey and the Lions have had really positive talks the last few weeks he as stated his preference is to stay. Lachie Neale has interest from Collingwood, Melbourne, Adelaide and WA teams. He is 33 next year but teams will want him still. He also has said the lions is where he’d like to finish but needs to do what’s right for his last couple of years in the game. On the two the lions have made it clear Zac Bailey is the preference due to age and they want him locked in on a long deal. They also have said they will match offers and force a trade for both if they decide to go. Brisbane is still very keen on Jordan Ridley and also Adelaide’s Dan Curtin even if Zac Bailey stays they will try to lure him to the lions. Injury update: Noah Answerth and Jarrod Berry were on the track today at training. VFL: The VFL side are struggling big time due to the AFL having so many players out no standouts.
