@vinnywhufc I was there for a good result on a fine day. Rather optimistically after the game, a Spinal Tap type fella summed up our eternal optimism perfectly: "West Ham for Europe!"

On this day in 1994 goals from Trevor Morley and Martin Allen gave West Ham a 2-0 victory over Arsenal at Highbury with 33,700 in attendance.

Today marks the 8th anniversary of my coldest day at football as @BSFCTheBlues took on @sloughtownfc . What was your coldest day at a football match?

A rented stadium with 90 years left. Over time the value of this to the club decreases and doesn't feel like home at all. Every game is an away fixture. A below standard training ground which is remortgaged to the max increasing club borrowing. Poor recruitment has seen us spend-

Long before @tomassoucek28 and @Coufi5, we had Czech 'cult hero' Tomas Repka, who is 52 today and signed for a record £5.5million. He played 188 games for West Ham, including winning the 2005 play-off Final. Sent off in his first and third games for West Ham, he was sent off 20 times in his career, 4 of which were at West Ham along with 53 bookings in Claret and Blue ⚒️

@JamieBoyce Good riddance. He didn't want to be with us. He's 24, so not sure he'll ever learn when to release the ball, or stop having strops, but you never know. Good deal TBH for a player who turns up one-in-ten, if you're lucky

Kudus to Spurs. It hurts. Properly hurts. We’ve just sold (arguably) our best player to (definitely) our biggest rival in the league… for £55m. After the season he had? You could justify it. But should it ever have come to this? Not a chance. I’m so disillusioned with West Ham right now. The love’s still there. But it’s fading, year by year.

🚨 EXCLUSIVE: Tottenham Hotspur reach total agreement with West Ham United to sign Mohammed Kudus. Deal for 24yo #WHUFC forward worth in region of £55m. Medical scheduled on Thursday ahead of Ghana international joining #THFC on 6yr contract @TheAthleticFC nytimes.com/athletic/64754…

The second is about The Albany Club where David's Great Grandmother worked. Does anyone have any information on the place? Based in Savile Row until the late 50's. Photo attached is of his mother as a child with entertainers at the club. But who are they? 🤔🔎

@fussballgeekz Of course, I'm gonna say UP (the Boleyn ground seemed to be used as a moniker only at the end of our tenure there, though always an alternative name). All the others I managed to visit (Ninian, Maine Road, WHL & Highbury all better atmosphere wise than new grounds IMHO though)
