@ShaunLintern It all goes round in circles - I used to work for the NHS Exec IMG 30 years ago - primary care trusts, CCGs, ICBs not sure anything will improve they are bogged down in their own processes, red tape and lack of joined up thinking & systems (inc IT) whatever the names!
English

@Azeem_Majeed General Practice does not use the app effectively unfortunately - repeat prescriptions disappear - hospital consultations/updates sometimes missed from the history would be a good start if was accurate & reliable. Too many systems in the mix and none marry up eg PKB, swift queue
English

@ShaunLintern Do you know who will be taking on the Director of Patient Safety role?
English

@ShaunLintern Is this because people are dying and being taken off the list?
English

@JamesMelville Isn’t he now retiring on a £300,000 year public funded pension?
English

@FrDidymus My son is a commuter student for this reason think we’ll be seeing more studying locally rather than living away due to costs.
English

@Azeem_Majeed Definitely I have Gilbert’s Syndrome and Palindromic Rheumatism social media groups are excellent for support and advice, and to give support and advice to those struggling with a new diagnosis.
English

@Azeem_Majeed Part-time working/job share works well in industry in fact I’m sure I have read reports that output and productivity is higher.
English

@ShaunLintern @wesstreeting @DHSCgovuk Hasn’t he decided to divert billions to GPs which is now creating concern over the already long hospital waiting lists? Surely he needs to settle in and assess this feedback (and the bigger picture) first?
English

Great replies to this so far. I'm definitely going to bookmark and read through. Some real nuggets here. Maybe @wesstreeting needs a "Get Rid Of Stupid Stuff" email at @DHSCgovuk
Shaun Lintern@ShaunLintern
Wes Streeting calls you and asks for *tangible* ideas he can implement to help NHS improve performance. But there's no extra money for big spending. What's your one idea? #FantasyNHS I'll start - staff passports across regions to free up pointless mandatory training time.

@BBCNews What? I was lucky to have an ancient portable 4 channel tv as a child! And even now can’t afford Sky!

I went without Sky TV as a child, says Sunak bbc.in/3KEhBu8

@RishiSunak How could you think this is a good idea? Many people despise this Gov’s warmongering, arms sales and interference in other countries. Let’s face it WWIII would be end days nothing glorious. You should start with proper punishment & community service for real criminals.

@GaryBarlow We came to see you at Nottingham last night - great show! First met you all in 1991 in the Black Orchid Nottingham before you were famous - what a journey!

@CgeFor @DavidLi11663980 @EmergMedDr Some shocking comments implying the parents were negligent but that was not the case I read one of the mothers was vaccinated in pregnancy - saying it’s important to recognise symptoms and take action if you feel your child is deteriorating
English

@DavidLi11663980 @PeeksKatherine @EmergMedDr If I’m interpreting her correctly I think she may be suggesting that vigilance can replace vaccination! It’s amazing how many people like her try to rationalise irrationality.
English

@Lizzypop15 @EmergMedDr I think possibly recognising symptoms and early antibiotics is crucial - many are not able to get timely GP appointments. My daughter also had mumps few years back and we could not get in to GP a dr who was a work colleague diagnosed and supported!

Super proud of one of my greatest achievements today! First day of Lecturer of Healthcare Human Factors & Ergonomics @lborouniversity @LboroDesign, still can't believe it ☺️🥳❤️🙂🎉 @LuffJo
