Transport Committee recommended #GDL and @GordonBrown Gvt refused … A Labour MP said: “I am disappointed … by the Gvt response to the problem of novice drivers … I am worried about novice drivers going out late at night … without having had any experience of driving in the dark … the car comes off the road, hits a tree and young lives are destroyed … Gvt copped out over the question of a curfew … I hope the Gvt will look at that matter again.” Passenger restrictions were also recommended and refused. I wonder how many people might be alive today if politicians acted on the advice from experts through the @TransportCttee @RuthCadbury and were brave? @transportgovuk @Heidi_Labour @JBuckleyLabour @Kate_Dearden @SharronHuddles2 @owe65332 @Beccysays

In the UK young drivers aged 17–24 are involved in 24% of all collisions resulting in death or serious injury, even though this group makes up just 7% of the total driving population. Graduated Driving Licensing saves lives. Please support our campaign for its introduction.
