@SimeonBrownMP I have to give credit to Simeon.... 'Simeon Brown crtitisised Ardern's mandates. He said she was "creating a country with two classes of people based on Govt mandated vaccination passports requirements" and that "our best way forward is not to vilify those people".'

Upset father concerned about his 12 y/o twin boys that took $100 Pak N Save voucher for the vaccine without his consent! Nov 23, 2021!!!😳 The boys were going for a swim & they blasted over their speaker phones to come get vaccinated and get $100.

@ideNZcity How can you get informed consent from children in a poor area while bribing them with $100 vouchers. Absolute scumbags.

@5doubleus @henrycooke Officials didn't mandate. Ok. But do officials have any ethical principles or obligations when a government does something that could cause harm or death to childre? The right to refuse medical treatment is codified in the NZ bill of rights. Officials participated in the lie.

@Pen_ultimate__ @henrycooke Officials didn't mandate, Govt did. Despite officials advice to not mandate vax, & to not require 2 shots for youth, Ardern & Hipkins thought they knew better. These decisions typify the sheer arrogance of their leadership. Power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely.

Chris Hipkins insists he never saw advice that cautioned the Government against mandating two doses of the Covid-19 Pfizer vaccine for 12 to 17 year olds - despite a cabinet paper that featured the advice in his name. thepost.co.nz/politics/36097…

@RiverFreedom22 If he's not a "health practitioner" then why was he mandating novel medicines on the people. He acted as a health practitioner. He took away our choice. He needs to face the music. Jail.

HIPKINS is finally answering questions, apparently he: "Always left advice on vaccine safety and health advice to the relevant health officials [laughs and smiles at fawning journalists] - I'm not a health practitioner!" YET, here he is telling New Zealanders that: "This vaccine is one of the safest vaccines you can possibly get!" How does he know that? Is he a health practitioner or an expert on vaccines? 🤔 He has MISLED and LIED to New Zealanders, we knew it then. He's still doing it today. VIDEO - 7'30 in: nzherald.co.nz/nz/politics/th…

Hipkins told the Herald that sharing medical advice around vaccinations was not his area. “In terms of my conscience, I never communicated medical advice around vaccination." "Safe and effective" sounds a lot like medical advice to me Chippy!

This is wild! From Hipkins stand up this afternoon: Says he doesn’t know if he would have made the advice public if he had received it in December 2021 because by then, most of the mandates had already required the relevant workers to be double vaccinated. "So it wasn't sort of material information at that point."

@henrycooke Did the media know? I mean it was based on CDC public info? Why didn't they publish the risks and hold power to account?

@henrycooke His government also funded the government communicators, events, and ads who all pushed it and advertised it without full disclosure of the risks, just simplistic positive slogans.

@ReganRLear @claudicant The only reason we had ANY casualties, was because we didn't put any serious border control in until it was impossible to avoid it. We waited literally WEEKS after Australia got it's first case before we did anything.

@spidercatnz @aniobrien It was in the NY Times and the Herald. Of course he knew. Numerous other countries were recommending only one shot due to the higher risk for young people particularly young men.

@aniobrien Unfortunately, none of the CVTAG minutes that I've seen are addressed to Hipkins or provide evidence that he was told. Bloomfield definitely knew, he was the addressee on the one in December.

Can someone help me out? I'm confused as to why we are talking about whether Hipkins knew about risks in 2022 when OIAs show a bunch of documentation in 2021. health.govt.nz/system/files/2…

@aniobrien Well the NY Times ran an article on it in October '21. They all knew. Showing numerous other countries only required a single dose for young people. But the data from CDC's shows it was overwhelmingly a problem for young men all through their 20s. They knew.

Let’s be clear. Public servants are not the Government. And they are certainly not elected. They do not hold a mandate to make sweeping decisions that impact iwi, reo Māori, and decades of Treaty-based progress — especially decisions of this scale and consequence. So where is the Cabinet paper? Where is the public record showing Ministers signed off on a move that could effectively wipe out an estimated third of iwi Māori radio stations? Because if it doesn’t exist — or hasn’t been made transparent — then serious questions need to be asked. Māori broadcasting was never a “nice to have.” It was fought for, secured through Treaty claims, and built as part of the Crown’s obligation to actively protect te reo Māori. Those gains are not optional. They are not expendable. And they are not for unelected officials to quietly dismantle. Where is the mandate to overturn one of this nation’s most tapu and historic settled claims? Because that’s what this looks like. This isn’t just about radio. It’s about accountability. It’s about Te Tiriti. And it’s about whether decisions that affect Māori are being made with Māori — or done to Māori. If a line hasn’t already been crossed — we’re standing right on it. waateanews.com/2026/03/27/nat…

It’s now been six hours since the NZ Herald reported Chris Hipkins received a Cabinet paper indicating he knew of the advice regarding potential risks of a second Covid-19 vaccine dose for teenagers at a time when tens of thousands of them had yet to get a follow-up jab and Stuff, RNZ and the Post have yet to mention it.
