The ID Division Book Club is tonight!! We will be reading “The Fatal Strain” by Alan Sipress. Dr. Louise Moncla from Penn School of Veterinary Medicine & Dr. Betsy Schroeder from Pennsylvania Department of Health will be joining us to discuss the book & avian influenza.

Congratulations to Drs. Ted Kreider & Robert Gross, recipients of 2024 Red Ribbon Awards. Dr. Kreider was awarded the Cure Advocacy BEAT-HIV Award, recognizing his work advancing HIV education & advocacy in Philadelphia communities. Dr. Gross was awarded the Researcher Award.

Congratulations to Dr. Jessie Torgersen on receiving the @PennMedicine Advocacy Award!! Dr. Torgersen pioneered the @PennMedicine Viral Hepatitis Linkage Team to address care gaps in hepatitis C virus (HCV) screening & linkage to curative treatment. She is an inspiration to all!
