Please interpret this in the spirit it's intended (trying to find legitimate answers to anyone experiencing a decline in viewership)... But the amount of hysteria right now about "Twitch stopped counting lurkers" is off the charts in a way I've never seen before (and this kind of thing happens every year when people say Twitch stopped counting lurkers or that the number of people in their chat is different than their public view count). I'm seeing people who are at all-time high viewership averages in September, saying they lost 20% of their audience... and I legitimately am at a loss for words at how much fear and panic has consumed people. I think I'll make a video about this (that will surely bring me grief for trying to make sense of it all.. lol.) Streamer Twitter can be a wild ride...

I see a "Twitch is removing lurkers from my viewcount" hysteria going on, and that's just wrong. I have a quite lurky community and my ccv hasn't changed a bit since Twitch's new anti-bot measures. Lurkers count, you either had bots or you don't know how an average works😅
