@GinoHard_ The Penguins had nothing to play for. The dumbest thing they could do is fight. Even if they were to win the fight, they would still risk breaking a hand or something.

@j0nathanwi11iam @j_a155 I don’t think so. I also think he probably signs for 3+ years if he was interested in staying in organization. Hes betting on himself signing a 2 year deal instead of 3 - his goal is making cracking NHL roster at camp next year.
I do believe he’s RFA at end of contract though.

Not eligible for the postseason since he wasn’t a draft pick and wasn’t on their reserve list at the trade deadline. A cup of coffee to burn his ELC the last week of the season is the cost of doing business though.

This is what I don't appreciate about some analytics discourse, just assuming Chinakhov's shooting is unsustainable because high number = unsustainable
He has the tools (99th Percentile Shot 98th Percentile Speed) to easily sustain this level of play.

This reclamation project is looking pretty good so far for Pittsburgh. The question is whether Chinakhov will be shooting at 17.5% again next season, which I doubt.
