@Georgeusausa A lot of good prospects don’t make the team as 18 year olds. It’s not that deep.
Yager made it because he was more committed defensively. Firkus did a lot of heavy lifting offensively that allowed Yager to play more responsible and not cheat.

@PensSystem Tbh I knew and strongly believe the rucks will be busts. No hate just don’t see them becoming pro players. Hope I am wrong but that sure doesn’t help confidence. Even yager made it

@JNolan93_ @Jeffs_Penguins They loved Brunicke Howe and Yager though. I have ZERO explanation for leaving Zonnon off but the 3 from this draft class makes sense to me considering the history. They've stayed away from smaller players even if they've put up crazy point totals...especially the 18 year olds.

@JNolan93_ @Jeffs_Penguins If I recall correctly, I don't believe they invited Bill Zonnon last year either...I think he was healthy at the time. Although I know he got hurt a few weeks later.

@Jeffs_Penguins Honestly that says more about their selection process than the lack of talent the Pens have. The Rucks and Mbuyi should be there over plenty of those guys. Kindel would probably be there if he wasn't an NHLer.

Jackson Smith was one of the final cuts last year and Hockey Canada likes the Peyton Kettles/Quinn Beauchesne types so it may not go that way, but a fun hypothetical. Not every day you get to pair teammates together like that. Something for their brass to consider.
