Why Raymond? I don’t like him in comparison to knies I figured teams would value the proven playoff physicality on top of the points. sennecke and smith I only said are close cause smith seems to be getting hurt a lot but honestly the close section is give or take for the most part it’s just cause I haven’t seen enough. I do think his physicality alone sets him apart from a lot of these guys though, but like the other guy said maybe the last 5 years was a weak sample I just didn’t wanna go through like 50 examples😂

Look I really love Knies but if Chicago is gonna give you something like 4th overall, Korchinski, Frondell, and Bertuzzi you kinda gotta listen. If they're THAT horny for him, you ask for that package + Rinzel or another 1st . Milk the shit outta those morons

I like fantilli and he might be better if he was utilized properly but til that happens not gonna assume, plus I don’t think his situation is that bad he’s playing with werenski and marchenko is a solid winger so don’t know what the dig at him was there. Slaf I don’t think he clears but I’m fine with saying he’s better right now, he plays a solid game and his shooting ability is undeniable

Some of these are way off (like Fantilli) but again, thats why you have to go earlier drafts because some are just too young (Rein/Lev/Lindstrom) Also just being honest but Slaf clears, come on now ;) Again, if you put Knies in a scenario like Fantilli (Marchenko&Lundstrom) how good do you think he does?

For sure: levshunov, lindstrom, fantilli, reinbacher, nemec, wright, beniers, mctavish, Johnson, byfield, lafreniere Close: smith, Hughes, slafkovsky, Raymond, sennecke, power No: celebrini, demidov, bedard, carlsson, Cooley, Gauthier, stutzle, Sanderson All personal opinion of course I’m pretty high on knies cause he’s the blueprint for a playoff winger in my opinion.

Maybe my value of a top 5 pick is skewed then but I do feel like knies is worth more look at last 5 drafts every year one of the top 5 has been a bust or incredibly slow development sometimes multiple of the top 5. Knies put up 66 points this year despite concerns of whatever injury he might have had, plus Matthew’s injuries and them both not having marner anymore on the wing. My wording might’ve been wrong with hoping I guess obviously you would want more. In the past 5 drafts though it’s not like the top 5 pick is a lock by any means unless you’re #1 I only see like 5 or 6 of them outside of #1 that are better so far

I agree he can still improve at 24, but you absolutely arent hoping your top 5 pick can be a 70 point complimentary W LOL

Well obviously lol issue is old letang is still trying to play like prime letang, if he’d just play more defensively he’d probably be a beast for us with 3rd pairing minutes maybe even 2nd, but his ego seems to big to accept that role or at least that’s what I’m gathering considering he’s still playing 25 minutes a night

Brett Kulak... The one trade I wish Kyle Dubas never made. I'm not mad though. Getting a 2nd round pick helps continue what they were trying to do. But I always liked Kulak in his short time here.

See I remember growing up when there was consequences for things you say, so I guess we disagree on that alone. I just don’t see how we would want a society where lethal force is justifiable over being pushed or hit, maybe don’t call people all the slurs you can think of if your immediate reaction is to shoot someone for not standing for the disrespect. Someone made a good comparison with the karmelo Anthony case, if this is the precedent we’re setting was that kid in the right for stabbing the other person in the chest over being pushed? Cause I certainly don’t think so. Another is Gavin mckenna coming out of a bar to someone bashing his mom, he punched him in response, would that guy have been justified shooting him right there?

We almost got swept because Evgeni Malkin is playing right wing, Anthony Mantha is getting 12 minutes a game. Brazeau didn’t play at all. Dubas waived Dumba. He hasn’t given Sidney Crosby a left wing. Rickard Rakell is so clearly a phenomenal 3rd line center. It is not the personnel. IT IS THE MANAGEMNT AND OR COACHING.

@pghphil51 No, because they were in a playoff race, and he said that, at times this season, the team looked like it was touching that level but ultimately fell short. Not selling Anthony Mantha isn't going to set the franchise back. They're comfortable with where they're at assets-wise.

Dubas said the team has a "long way to go" in order to be on the same level as teams like Carolina, Colorado, Dallas, Tampa, Montreal, etc. but that they've made progress. #LetsGoPens
