@mikeirons12 The Bartered Bride would be my second choice of these, but my favourite is Rusalka.

Thanks for the votes and comments. Four marvellous pieces. As someone who would choose The Bartered Bride , I was crushed to see it come last... 🤕🤯😵💫💔😏

@DrDavidVernon Suzuki’s Bach is wonderful - I have all of the vocal works (though not in that big box sadly!)

@mikeirons12 I voted Holy Island, but I think Tintagel is possibly my favourite historical site.

@LoveInner I’ve always liked Maazel with the Vienna Philharmonic - very exciting. I also like Nelsons (was at the concert that it was recorded at) and Petrenko.
English

@mikeirons12 Debussy Preludes
Chopin Polonaises
Schumann Davidsbundlertanze, Concerto sans Orchestra
I also like his Mozart piano concertos. But I wonder how many people know of his only recording (as far as I am aware) as a conductor? It is a Rossini opera: La Donna del lago.

“I’m so grateful for my classical training. I played Chopin and Bach, and Mozart and Debussy. Without my training, I never would’ve been able to write the songs I’ve written.”
– Sir Elton John in 2019, speaking to Classic FM’s @TimLihoreau about his @royalacademy training. ❤️
