My sincere apologies to French President Emmanuel Macron for not being able to attend the French-Africa Summit due to unavoidable delays in Shenzhen. I was looking forward to contributing to the conversation on how the creative economy continues to shape modern communication, business, culture, and global relationships. Looking forward to continuing the discussions later this summer during our private meeting, which I will not post at all. #AfricaFowardSummit

In 1979 Ethiopian population was 34.5M and Somalia was 8M afer 46 year, in 2026 Ethiopia 130M and Somalia 20M. Average Ethiopian household is 4 and average Somali is 7. Something doesn't add up, Either Somalis has been undercounted or Ethiopian census are inflated beyond belief

@kilundeezy What you don't know is that it's Islamically acceptable to marry underage girls, but only with their consent. It's haraam, immoral, and illegal to marry a girl of any age without her consent. An underage person can't consent to an early marriage, and they are being coerced.

Do you guys remember when Somalia passed a bill on October 1, 2025, setting the minimum marriage age at 18, aligning with international child protection standards and the move sparked massive backlash from Islamic leaders who argued it clashed with Sharia law, which bases marriage eligibility on "religious maturity" rather than age and fueled protests. Within three days, the government walked back the law, issuing a clarification that Islamic exemptions would override the 18-year minimum. Critics called it a "fake win" driven by donor pressure, while supporters framed it as preserving religious sovereignty. The law's reversal reignited debate on child marriage, especially after a March 2025 scandal involving an 8-year-old girl nearly forced into marriage. Somalia has high rates of child marriage — 36% before age 18, and 17% before 15 — contributing to poverty, health risks, and lost educational opportunities.

Maseno School presented the new masterplan that's set to make it a model centre of excellence (I have attached the new look vision on paper, before you begin asking why we're special). The President has directed the Old Boys to return to Nairobi to kickstart the actioning of the following undertaking by his Gov't: 1. The Gov't to construct a total of 40 classrooms by end of the year. 2. An ultramodern halls of residence (while students in other schools live in dormitories, in Maseno School we live in Houses). 3. A multipurpose hall that can accommodate at least 5,000 pax. 4. The Alumni Association already raised 80 million that will be directed towards the construction of the STEM Complex (Science, Technology, Engineering & Maths). The President has promised to fundraise from his friends the funds required to equip the STEM Complex. While parents from other countries will be taking their boys to benchmark with Singapore, those in Kenya will be taking them to Maseno School.

@HonMosiria This barbaric act has no place in Islam. This pedophile should be put to death for his behavior. Islam forbids the torture of children and forced marriage of any kind. This is an outdated barbaric cultural practice that is still widespread across Africa.

The suspect arrested in connection with the unlawful marriage of a young girl was today arraigned in court, where the judge denied him bail and ordered that he be remanded in custody until 11th June, when he will appear again for further directions. This case is deeply disturbing and points to alleged predatory behaviour against a minor. Such acts amount to child exploitation and are consistent with conduct associated with paedophilia, which has no place in our society. I wish to make a strong appeal to members of his village and local leaders: please do not interfere with the court process by seeking alternative dispute resolution mechanisms or attempting to settle this matter outside the legal framework under the guise of culture or religion, as we have witnessed in similar cases before. Any attempt to resolve such a serious matter informally will compromise the young girl’s right to justice and send the wrong message to society. It would embolden other alleged paedophiles and encourage older men to prey on children under the false justification of culture and religion. Child marriage is illegal and a gross violation of children’s rights. No cultural or religious practice can supersede the law or justify the abuse and exploitation of minors. We must stand firm as a society to protect our children from early and forced marriages and ensure justice is served. Protecting children is a collective responsibility, and anyone found violating their rights must face the full force of the law.

Mzee Abdi Gafaar has been arrested for allegedly marrying a 14-year-old girl, Anab Noor, from Mandera County. The couple has been married for approximately two years.According to reports, the minor is not attending formal school, has limited understanding of Kiswahili, and has been confined to the home where she receives private tuition. She is currently pregnant and has reportedly developed a mouth infection linked to sexual activity.Mzee Abdi maintains that the marriage is lawful. He states that the girl’s parents consented, and the union was formalized through a traditional Somali ceremony, supported by a handwritten marriage certificate issued by local authorities in Mandera. He argues that both Islamic teachings and Somali cultural traditions permit the marriage of girls once they reach puberty, citing ages as young as 9, 10, 11, or 12 as acceptable. He recounted witnessing a 9-year-old girl being married off, who later gave birth at age 11.Although Mzee Abdi’s national ID indicates he is 46 years old, acquaintances claim he is over 50. Records show he married the girl when she was 12 years old.He was arrested on Wednesday night and is currently being held at Kasarani Police Station, where he is expected to face formal charges in court shortly.

Safaricom leadership is no longer running a service company. They are running a deal room. While customers are busy begging for basic attention, the people at the top are allegedly buried in negotiations, ownership games, transaction politics and exit calculations. The ordinary Kenyan thinks Safaricom is still a public service giant built around communication, trust and national convenience. Kumbe upstairs it is business. Pure business. You will be shocked by the billions Safaricom top bosses are allegedly positioned to make from the sale of Safaricom. Billions. Billions. Billions. Billions. Billions. And that is where the story becomes bigger than dropped calls or customer complaints. This is about a company that became part of Kenya’s daily life being treated like private merchandise by people who see customers as numbers and the network as a cash machine. Safaricom was built on Kenyan loyalty. Mama mboga, boda boda riders, small traders, workers, students, families, hustlers and businesses made it what it is. Kenyans gave Safaricom trust, data, deposits, transaction fees, airtime and loyalty for years. Now the people at the top appear more interested in who buys what, who exits with what and who walks away with billions. Ni biashara, si huduma. The customer is no longer the centre but the deal is the centre. The Kenyan public is no longer being served but being harvested. And when leaders of such a powerful company start thinking like brokers instead of custodians, everything else collapses. Service becomes secondary. Complaints become noise. Network quality becomes an inconvenience. Customer care becomes theatre. The real meeting is not about Kenyans. The real meeting is about valuations, shares, commissions, exit packages and billions. That is why Safaricom must be watched very carefully. A company that touches nearly every Kenyan household cannot be quietly converted into a private feeding trough while customers are told to be patient. Kenyans deserve to know what is being negotiated, who stands to benefit and why the people entrusted with running Safaricom seem more excited about deals than service. Because at this point, one thing is becoming very clear. Safaricom is not being managed like a public trust. It is being traded like loot.

Justice for Eric Gitonga "Tosh" Our brother, Eric Gitonga Tosh from Buuri, is currently facing a deeply troubling situation. In September 2025, he unknowingly received KSh 300 from a wrong number — a mistake that was not of his making. Months later, in February 2026, he was arrested and charged over this incident. Since then, the case has been ongoing, causing emotional and financial strain. Today, the court imposed a cash bail of KSh 200,000 — an amount that is extremely difficult for him and his family to raise. We are calling upon our leaders, justice system, and the wider public to look into this matter with fairness and compassion. No one should suffer for a mistake they did not intentionally commit. Let us stand together and demand justice for Eric. His situation reflects the need for a system that protects the innocent and treats every citizen with fairness. Any Support would be appreaciated 0740532935 Whatsapp group #JusticeForEric

I would like to pay a visit to DJ Evolve to explore ways we can support him, especially following the unfortunate shooting incident that left him with disabilities. Our focus would be on empowering him to rebuild and thrive, particularly by leveraging opportunities in the digital space. We can support him in establishing an online DJ entertainment platform, enabling him to continue his passion and connect with audiences virtually. In addition, we can help set up a DJ academy where he can train and mentor upcoming DJs, creating a sustainable source of income while also nurturing young talent. Beyond this, there is room to support his medical care, rehabilitation, and overall well-being, as well as provide assistive technology and equipment that can enhance his productivity and independence. If anyone has his contact or can help facilitate a connection, I would greatly appreciate your assistance.

Matiang’i is not ready for the presidency. He is better suited to be a cabinet secretary (education). The United Opposition should not make the mistake of choosing him as their flag bearer. Kalonzo has a strong political reputation and has earned his wings by being Agwambo's running mate.
