I'm devastated and outraged for Dolores Huerta, Ana Murguia, Debra Rojas, and the women and girls who were abused by Cesar Chavez. Women should never have to accept or cover up sexual abuse out of loyalty to a greater cause.
My heart is with the countless courageous people who have pushed the farm workers' and Latino civil rights movements forward. Their contributions and legacy cannot be undone by any one man.
