Hmmm wrong again—Nigel didn’t as he wasn’t in Reform UK then. Actually the man you’re talking about was in the party for a total of 6 weeks He served as leader from 26 March 2021 until he quit shortly after the Welsh Parliament (Senedd) election on 8 May 2021. That’s roughly 6 weeks (or about 43 days) in the role before he left. The bribery offences (accepting payments to make pro-Russia statements) actually happened earlier, while he was an MEP — between December 2018 and July 2019 — and were unrelated to his short time leading Reform UK Wales. He was later jailed for 10-and-a-half years for those actions. Reform UK described his conduct as “reprehensible, treasonous and unforgivable. Don’t forget this either ⬇️ Zack Polanski (the Green Party leader) was arrested during an Extinction Rebellion protest on Waterloo Bridge in April 2019. Green Party councillor (Sohail Asghar) was arrested in late 2025 on suspicion of modern slavery and assault offence. Aimee Challenor (now known as Aimee Knight), who was a prominent Green Party candidate (including for Parliament and local council) and a rising figure who ran for deputy leader. In 2018, she was suspended by the Green Party on a no-fault basis after it emerged that her father, David Challenor, had acted as her election agent in the 2017 general election and the 2018 local elections — even while he was on bail and later convicted of serious child sex offences (including the rape and torture of a 10-year-old girl, for which he received a 22-year prison sentence). All parties have skeletons—what’s that saying? “People who live in glass houses shouldn’t throw stones.”

.@UniteSharon is asked if Rayner would make a good Lab leader Sharon is right to mention to her shameful record in relation to the bin strike. But Rayner was also part of a govt that targeted the disabled, demonised refugees &suspended MPs for voting to lift kids out of poverty

I condemn in the strongest terms the overnight Iranian strike on a Qatari gas facility. We are working towards a swift resolution to the situation in the Middle East, in the best interests of the British people – because there is no question that ending the war is the quickest way to reduce the cost of living.

It took less than 30 seconds for Sarah Pochin to start making jokes about Muslims after her autocue broke. The same Sarah Pochin who said it drives her mad seeing too many black and Asian people on TV adverts.

'I really wanted to come on in a Reform tartan burka, but apparently I wasn't allowed' 'On day lets do one of these events not livestreamed. We'll do all the naughty stuff' Sarah Pochin says she wants to wear a tartan burka at Reform's Scottish Election launch

I have been telling @Keir_Starmer (my friend) for sometime that it isn’t just the “usual suspects” that are thinking about successors to Keir. It is a very large number of the PLP. We must do better. Much better. Keir promised to listen. Please do listen. Please?

🚨 Major intervention tonight by Angela Rayner at a Mainstream rally in which she: - Warned Starmer he’s “running out of time” and Labour is now seen as “the Establishment” in some voters’ eyes - Branded looming migration reforms “un-British” - Gave a rallying cry for Labour to emulate successful progressive parties that have seen off the threat from a surge on the right In her sights were plans to hike the automatic qualifying period after which legal migrants gain the right to permanent residence from 5 to 10 years. Shabana Mahmood, the Home Secretary, announced the reforms earlier this month and said they were vital to stop a £10bn drain on the public finances - due to extra demands for healthcare and housing. But Rayner said: “Enforcing a fair deal is not the same as ripping up a deal halfway through. "Many people came here to Britain on the understanding that if they've worked in the sectors where we needed them, obeyed the law and paid their taxes, that they could stay. If we suddenly change that, it pulls the rug from under those that have planned their lives and commitments and they're contributing to our economy and to our society. That would not just be bad policy, but a breach of trust. "The people already in the system who made a huge investment now fear for their future. "They do not have stability and they do not know what will happen. "We cannot talk about earning a settlement if we keep moving the goal posts, because moving the goal post undermines our sense of fair play. It's un-British." There were also some sharp critiques of Starmer’s political approach. Rayner said: "It's our job to show the British people whose side we're on. Like other social democratic parties across the West, the very survival of the Labour Party is at stake. And it's that serious for us, because political parties do not have the right to exist." She added: "In Canada, in Austria, in Norway, the centre-left parties surged back to win again. They showed that they would tackle the issues that mattered most to people and voters decided that a progressive government that puts people first and lowers the cost for ordinary people was the better choice… “We cannot just go through the motions in the face of decline, there's no safe ground for us, and we're running out of time.” Holding a glass of white wine as she approached the podium to speak, Rayner made clear she plans to be more vocal after her seven months on the backbenches. “I’ve got a lot to say and I’ve been waiting for this moment for a long time,” she told the room.

Angela Rayner speaks at Labour soft left group Mainstream’s reception, kicks off by saying she “a lot to say” “When the British people voted for us, they voted for change,” she says. “The Labour Party is at its best when it’s bold… We should make clear our driving mission is to represent working people. When vested interests stand in the way, we should take them head on.”

🚨Angela Rayner warns "the very survival of the Labour party is at stake" in a major intervention at an event tonight - warns that Labour "cannot just go through the motions in the face of decline" - "we’re running out of time" - "we have left the impression that we defended the status quo rather than challenged it" - says Shabana Mahmood's immigration plans (retrospective changes to indefinite leave to remain) would be "not just bad policy but a breach of trust" and "un-British" - "It is down to us to rebuild this nation and this party – the question is are we up for this fight?"

👀 This worth keeping eyes on. Angela Rayner, talked about as a clear front runner in any Labour leadership race, was very forthright at Labour Mainstream event tonight > Speaking after Tony Vaughan, who has been highly critical of Mahmood’s asylum plans & organised the letter from 100+ MPs asking the PM to think again, Rayner also weighs in: Says changes on indefinite leave to remain “pulls the rug from under those who have planned their lives and commitments and are contributing to our economy and to our society” Says it’s ’un-British’ “I believe in a country where we keep our word and live up to our values” > She also appears to rebuke PM, saying the Labour party ‘cannot just go through the motions in the face of decline’ and that the party is ‘running out of time’.  “The change that people wanted so desperately needs to be seen,  it needs to be felt.” > She also says Labour must show the country “Reform is not on their side” by “proving that we are”. She says Labour’s task is to rebuild “this nation and this party - the Q is are we up for this fight?” Quite the rallying cry that plays into many MPs’ unhappiness in Starmer’s leadership…
