Today the vet informed me that they can no longer let me have Luca’s ashes back for they had cremated him without separating him from others. They did not offer me a compensation. I have replied them and if necessary, will seek advice from the Citizen Advice Bureau. 😔

"Tiger, tiger, burning bright, Look out, you'll set the dons alight!" The walk through Jericho to Port Meadow in Oxford was fraught with unexpected dangers. 🐯

Heard as well as seen, in NT Cliveden's gardens. I began in the Water Garden, with pristine pink camellias. Walking through the wooded parts of the estate, there was a very strong vocal showing from Blackbirds and Coal Tits, especially as day passed into late afternoon.

There were bees out and about, and in the shop as well, top right @Pericles494BC. I did also warm to the fluffy clouds, & rosy red apple.

Just your regular reminder that Mandelson is still a Lord, Reed is still in the Cabinet, and Simons and Reid are still MPs. All the corruption revealed over the last month and not a thing has changed.

Yesterday I visited civic heroes: Adi has been in hospital for weeks after a vicious beating by violent settlers while peacefully protecting Palestinians in the West Bank. I admire her quiet strength and compassion and wish her a full recovery. Her attackers are still at large.

Arts on top of the Louvre! You may have been to the Louvre many times, but you likely haven't seen these details clearly. Perched high on the attic level of the Cour Carrée (Square Court), these sculptures are tucked away by the windows of the mansard roof, far from the eyes of tourists below. Commissioned by King Henri II around 1549, they represent the legendary collaboration between architect Pierre Lescot and master sculptor Jean Goujon. These 1905 plates highlight a grand cycle of allegories: from the trumpets of Fame and the prosperity of Abundance, to the harmonic sounds of Music and Poetry—all designed to celebrate a "Golden Age" of France.
