I got a text yesterday from an Israeli Influence Operation. They attempted to persuade me to support the war against Iran. They claimed to be human but had a very AI quality in the questions to my responses. I regret even responding because now they know I’m against Israel. The company running this operation is called Clock Tower X LLC and is hired by the State of Israel, but protected by the department of Justice. In September 2025, reports revealed that the Israeli government had allegedly hired Clock Tower X to train ChatGPT and to target content on social media platforms such as YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook to make it more “pro-Israel.” Clock Tower will even deploy “websites and content to deliver GPT framing results on GPT conversations.” In other words, Clock Tower will create new websites to influence how AI GPT models such as ChatGPT, which are trained on vast amounts of data from every corner of the internet, frame topics and respond to them — all on behalf of Israel. Hopefully my phone doesn’t blow up now they know how I feel about them. A sample of the texts below.
