As a Hungarian, I am speaking from a place of deep disappointment. Over the past 16 years, under the guise of national sovereignty, laws and economic policies have been enacted that significantly hindered the opportunities for all Hungarian people. A government should not be introducing price caps or freezing markets; it should be guaranteeing a free market. However, they seemed to believe that knowing the right people is better than a free market system. As a result, that system has fallen apart. During the election, we saw a record turnout with 80% of eligible voters participating. They cast their votes to express the opinion that things cannot continue this way. I believe many people misunderstand the policies of the Tisza Party. I do not believe they are pursuing pro-Ukraine or pro-migrant policies, but we will see. In any case, I don't think we Hungarians will allow another system like this to grow over our heads ever again.
