@MrShermichael $38 billion and counting. Let’s use every penny possible to cut deficits and get a handle on our federal debt!

This would actually be smarter. Cancel the $2k checks and add that $2k to the automatic accounts for babies. I’m skeptical about our ability to afford any of this, but if we’re going to do it, at least invest in the future.

I’m not big on the $2,000 tariff checks but I love the idea of automatic accounts for babies that invest $1,000 in the stock market. I’d increase that amount and not do the tariff checks. Give the next generation skin in the game and a reason to care about our economy longterm.

In 2000 when RJ was kicked out of preschool because he was “unteachable” and “antisocial” …It was one of the most painful days of my life as a mom.
I could never imagine that 25 years later,
he would be the subject of such a heartwarming inspirational pregame story🥹 💙🙏🏽⚾️

"He's an unbelievable human being." RJ Peete, a longtime clubhouse attendant for the Dodgers, embodies what it truly means to be family within the clubhouse. Tom Rinaldi shares the inspiring story of how RJ has defied expectations and found purpose with the team.

Seattle fans. I can feel your nervousness & given the team’s history it makes sense.
Today, though, is an opportunity to cut through decades of frustration and start a new chapter of @Mariners baseball.
A true winning culture. Time to believe!

@nextlevelbb But people will, in this age it’s always someone else’s fault for a fair number

I understand the importance of deterring crime, but the more I think about deploying the National Guard to cities like Portland and Chicago, the more I begin to think about it differently.
My concern isn’t just about law and order—it’s about accountability. As a taxpayer, I can’t help but question why my hard-earned dollars, and those of millions of other Americans, should be used to bail out cities that created the very conditions they now struggle with.
These local governments made conscious choices—policies that encouraged lawlessness, undermined police morale, and fostered a culture of chaos. Now, when those choices predictably backfire, the federal government steps in with taxpayer money to clean up the mess. That’s not fairness; that’s enabling.
It’s like constantly stepping in to stop a child from making a mistake—they’ll never learn the consequences of their actions. At some point, you have to let people face the fallout of their decisions. Yes, things might get worse before they get better. But sometimes that’s exactly what it takes for people—and cities—to change.

@RyanDivish The line in the article on Dave’s “it just continues” was a great add, well done!

A game story on magic numbers, the official standings, postseason scenarios, tiebreakers and the Mariners quest to win the American League West for the first time since 2001.
And somehow I didn't mention the Mariners moved ahead of the Tigers for the second best record among division leaders

@EricLDaugh Do the research on how many engineers and computer scientists we produce annually compared to demand and see if it’s still a “massive win”

I understand wanting me gone after today and this year as a whole. Nobody is more disappointed with how this year has gone for me than myself. Trust me i want to win just as much as all of you whether im here or not. But messaging me this bullshit and my girlfriend and sending this stuff is beyond baseball. It’s insane how comfortable people are sending this stuff to not only me but my partner. Tell me I suck all you want that’s fine but at some point we gotta get a grip.

@EconguyRosie Does that data include securities backed lending for non security purchase?

Guess what the biggest driver of this stock market rally has been? Leverage. For the first time ever, margin debt has topped $1 trillion and has ballooned +25% over the past year. Fully one-fifth of all the leverage supporting the stock market has been built up just in the past year alone; almost half of the outstanding margin debt has come in the past five years alone. That is quite an achievement. It’s also pretty scary.
