@EthekwiniAthletic ran a free route tester ahead of Hope Challenge in 2 weeks. 2 fully stocked tables on a loop of the 2nd half of the 42. You don't get much for free nowadays. Cape Town marathon entrants- your qualifier is on 8 Nov!

Just entered a marathon happening in 2 weeks, and I see @ComradesRace entries open on Monday. Here we go again...

Off to jog a few laps around KZN XC Champs in the old farts race and play coach in the cold at Howick tomorrow. Had to pack a lot of kit that doesn't get worn much. Should be fun!

New shoe day! Always fun to hit the road on a new set of treads. Picked up a bargain in the post-Comrades sales and did a few miles in them for their 1st run

This is so true, and so poorly understood by non-endurance sports people. Comrades is much further than the journey between the 2 cities.

Dear Comrades runners. Do your absolute utmost to sleep in PMB on race night. It could take over 4 hours to drive from Durbs to PMB in the morning!

Good news that @ComradesRace is back to 5hr qualifying time. One assumes the trend will continue with the on route race cutoffs. On that note, you should either be done with a qualifier, or have 1 planned quite soon if you are planning for Comrades 2025

Trying to get back pounding pavement and trail is proving tough and is feeling slow. The mornings are still dark but brightening, and like the summer sun we will make progress
