I can't lie though. Arminius' helmet based off this real finding from the Teutoburg Forest is pretty badass. It is known that barbarian chiefs frequently wore Roman armor.

This screenshot from Netflix's 2020 release "Barbarians" is exactly how I feel when I look at the absolutely disgusting armor in the show. Seeing all that flappy unboiled black leather crap everywhere, even on wealthy warriors, reminds me of how far we've come with A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms today. Thank goodness! Hopefully now that AKOTSK is successful standards for medieval costumes and settings will be a bit higher and continue to get higher. There's no reason we need to keep dressing up medieval characters like a bunch of sexually-curious bikers wearing black leather and spinning around like ballerinas whenever they touch a sword. This trash is insulting.
