@engineers_feed Actually yes. it would take flight. because the engines create thrust, the tires are irrelevant. the conveyor could be going a million miles an hour, and so would the tires. But because of the thrust, the aircraft would still move forward as if nothing else is happening.

@NateKate296264 @xdabluesfan @engineers_feed That's the key. The speed of the wheels in relation to the ground at the point of contact, is zero. So the conveyor will not move at all and the plane will take off normally.

The instant the plane moves left, they wheels spin and the conveyor moves right, which increases the speed of the wheels, which increases the speed of the belt...

@engineers_feed Here me out. If the conveyor matches the speed of the wheel, the speed has to be determined at the point of contact. At any speed, the tires touching the ground is zero. Therefore, the conveyor will not move, matching the speed, and the plane will take off normally.
