I guess since I haven't really been here in a while and the algorithm is showing my face again, here's a catch-up on the last 5 years of my life: - I'm no longer working in the Shopify/ecom space (and haven't for a little over 4 years). I've been at Zapier for a little over a year now as a Sr. EM. Prior to that I was at a video AI startup for 3 years as Director of Engineering and Product Lead. - My work is focused more broadly on engineering leadership now. Whether that's writing for The Modern Leader, any talks I give, or the latest season of Ladybug Podcast, I'll be talking about something related to engineering leadership. - In case you missed it, @EmmaBostian and I released a new season of Ladybug Podcast last year on engineering management. We also just passed 1 million listens! (wild) - Last year I was diagnosed with two chronic diseases, and this year I've had 3 surgeries to help reset the clock on the disease's progression. I have one more surgery in two weeks, which will hopefully be my last (for at least 10 years). - Because of the above point, I hit pause on public speaking for a while (my last appearance being RenderATL last year). TBD on if I'll make it this year or when my next speaking opportunity will be. - Other than that, I'm mostly the same boring internet account
