@melliellimelli @tes I’ve been looking at options for my kids ‘big school’ & every school is the same. One even has a policy where they text parents of an evening if the temp for the next day is forecast to be 24c or higher to remove the requirement to wear blazers. Otherwise they’re mandatory.

@anon_opin Old Oak Common (the site of the massive terminus where HS2, The Elizabeth Line & GWE services will all converge) would be the perfect place for a new parliament building. Plus there is a huge amount of land available there.

The Palace of Westminster is a ridiculous place to house our parliament. It's too small, it's falling apart, it costs a fortune to upkeep. Just move parliament elsewhere in London, hold the big ceremonial events in the palace but otherwise turn it over to tourism.

THE BLACK HOLE (1979) kickstarted Disney's 'Dark Phase' with beautiful spaceships, cool robots, Anthony Perkins getting shredded, and an existential nightmare of an ending in which the good guys go to heaven and the bad guys go to hell. I adore it.

@RupertMyers Fredrick Forsyth told the Govt that the ‘birth certificate loophole’ that that Jackal exploits in his novel to fake his identity & get a false passport could really be done back in the 1970’s. Although officials only fixed it in 2012!

@TheDisInsider To this day I have no idea why Disney picked Hercules (of all its IP) to replace Frozen. Their own internal Disney + streaming stats show that Moana is the most popular (hence why Moana 2 became a full movie rather than a mini series) & it’s crying out for a stage adaptation.

@AdrianBethune Agree - but to do all that secondary school children need a school uniform that isn’t shirt, tie, trousers, blazer & uncomfortable formal shoes. Stick them in joggers/trainers/hoodies/sweatshirts to allow for more physical movement (just like most kids wear in Y6 of primary).

The fall in children's wellbeing in the UK is *mostly* a secondary school problem (massive drop in Y7!). We could improve things massively by increasing the amount of physical activity in secondary (more PE, increased playtime, more sports, daily mile, etc). Discuss 🤔

Cannot express how annoying I find TV shows that misuse terms like ‘Quarter Finals’ when there aren’t 4 of them! #GladiatorsUK were at it last night. Only 3 Quarter Finals & a fastest runner up to make up the final 4. Why not just have a 4th quarter final?

I think the first broadcaster likely to merge it's content onto iPlayer is @UKTV , followed by Channel 4. I doubt ITV or Channel 5 will play ball on this, as they'll be thinking about their US owners (in the case of ITV potential US owner)
