@doctor_oxford Rachel. Don’t forget that there are many cancer specialists who are nurses. Fully qualified specialists cancer nurses working alongside their fully qualified specialist doctor colleagues (often doing the same work). Keep up the good work!

Legally, only a qualified doctor with a medical degree can call themselves a physician. And, though it’s not a legally protected term, I don’t believe anyone who’s not a senior doctor with specialist training in oncology should call themselves a “cancer specialist” either. 3/n

@tintwotin I designed my module ‘Reading Images’ from the phrase ‘a picture is worth a thousand words’, and my belief in the fact that all images, to an extent can be ‘read’. With some photographers it is more subtle, with other more overt. It’s all about storytelling.

Mystery solved. Vivian Maier was one of the greatest street photographers of all time. In all the years I taught photography I always stressed the importance of narrative as well as the visual design elements needed to make an image sing. Vivian was a genius storyteller.
