Yesterday, on Transgender Remembrance day, the world remembered victims of anti-trans violence. Today, Stockport Council passed a motion that reiterates our support for our LGBTQ+ allies and acknowledges the campaign for equalities goes on🏳️‍⚧️🏳️‍🌈

This is a dark, dark day for people around the globe. The world’s largest economy and most powerful military will be led by a dangerous, destructive demagogue.

Descriptors of "left" and "right" when it comes to policy shouldn't be the aim of policy making. We should make policy founded on liberalism that is based in evidence and pay less attention to where it falls on the spectrum. Voters prefer a party that is honest to itself

I welcome reform of H of Lords. Getting rid of hereditaries is only the first step but still essential. The ragbag of idiotic justifications for retaining them used by @Conservatives shows how hard they'll fight even such an obvious & necessary change. @LibDemLords @LibDems.

This happens to me so many times on Wilmslow Rd and the A6. I am much more regularly put in danger by bus drivers than any other group or road users. Branch Secretary of Unite, recently claimed that it's safer for cyclists to be "sheilded by a profesisonal driver" au contraire

So strip out cost by...checks notes...bypassing the biggest city in the region for both HS2 and NPR? But still cost 3/4 of the money anyway for a poorer connection? This is madness!
