@TheHerd @colincowherd @PabloTorre Did you watch the episode @colincowherd ? It's not about debunking magic or even mentalism. The question is: is there an ethical or unethical way to perform magic? This guy sold a book on the idea that he reads people better than most, rather than using questionable gimmicks.

@TheDunkCentral There's a balance. Yes it's entertainment, not a film session. But you have to mix in some analysis of what's happening on the court so the audience learns and takes away something they might not have otherwise seen. That's how you grow appreciation of the nuances of the game.

@richarddeitsch NBC will carry NBA TV viewership back to 20M+ if and when it broadcasts the NBA Finals. There is still room to grow if the league is able to bring back the casual viewer who has dismissed the league as "soft" "rigged" "woke" or any other reason. True entertainment is undefeated.

@_JasonLT Ant + Giannis would bring them to tier 1 with OKC & San Antonio. Giannis on Houston is intriguing too with FVV back from injury. Giannis on Detroit would make them title favorites in the East. Yes he's not a good shooter but people underestimate his offensive impact on the game.

@Mark_T_Willard I did watch last night's game. GSW needs to go all in right now. They will be competitive, they will have a chance, which is the point of it all. They won't be favorites, far from it, but that would make a champ run much more fulfilling. Do you guys want everything easy? COMPETE!

It’s crazy that Atkinson hasn’t played Merrill more in Game 3. I don’t understand 90% of what he’s doing. Harden’s too slow, Wade has been awful, This is a do or die game - if I’m going down it’s with Mitchell, Merrill, Strus, Schroeder and Allen or Mobley in crunch time.

@Mishbia15 You should see how they officiate Steph. Ridiculous. The referees have really done damage to their credibility over the years. If the league office took it seriously and reviewed the game tape, it would be glaringly obvious.

I am 100% behind Devin Booker here. Last night was not a good look for our league. Let me be clear, we didn’t lose because of officiating, but that doesn’t make last night any less important. If the referees are going to demand respect from the players - as they should - then the players should demand respect from the referees. When a referee is missing calls and clearly disrespecting the players, almost mocking them, they must be held accountable. Nobody who loves this game enjoyed watching that last night. They want to see the players compete at the highest level. The league needs be far more aggressive about this kind of thing. All players and all fans deserve it.

The more I hear from this guy the more I stand by my original assessment. The throughline of his entire oeuvre is glazing and stoking political violence. Which makes sense because he’s hostile to liberal democracy and the mutual toleration it encourages.
