Then why was steroid abuse such a big thing the 70s 80s before peptides were around?? use of the term gateway, drugs, referred to addictive substances historically. I don't have to prove anything to you! You have an "opinion" based on "anecdote" allegedly about some of your "friends" who supposedly found peptides to be a gateway to steroids" and ZERO double blind research to prove it!
I disagree, having been around bodybuilding for 50 years, long before Peptides were in vogue!
People don't need a peptide to want to enhance their body. And the term "gateway drugs" historically apply to addictive drugs. Peptides have not been shown to have addictive ie opioid tendencies! Your point is again moot.

well im honestly not sure how to respond to such a nonsensical argument. you said that pepttides are not a gateway to steroid(they are). Now you are just making justifications for why one partys actions are acceptable or the lesser evil but you are by no means strenghtening your argument. Peptides became a gateway to steroids not because every peptide user becomes a steroid user, but because peptides: normalize drug-assisted physique enhancement, reduce fear around injections and hormone manipulation, integrate users into enhancement communities, and shift attitudes from “never” to “maybe.” you have yet to say anything smart about why peptides are not a gateway to steroids and saying that its "better then being fat" doesnt disprove anything ive said.

We have a young population that's close to 40% morbid obesity who will die younger and with more health issues. Which is the greater evil.? Preclinical studies found that the FDA approved version of Melanotan afamelanotide inhibited growth of cultured melanoma cells and had no stimulating effect on melanoma or metastasis in animal models. Clinical trials (with dermatologic screening) and post-approval follow-up have reported no cases of melanoma directly linked to its use. Patients with pre-existing skin cancers, dysplastic nevi, or certain lesions were generally excluded, and full-body skin exams are required before starting and twice yearly during treatment.

@LouisiaNFT I disagree…theoretically. It’s not the increased melanin that does the damage but rather the underlying DNA damage from radiation. Imo (not medical advice) Melanotan instead speeds the time to diagnosis. This leads to not only correlation, but better outcomes.

@kalos21million Of all of the common peptides, melanotan2 is perhaps the most theoretically risky. Consider a dermatology full body eval to rule out any atypical nevi. Also not bad idea to get a dilated eye exam. Ophthalmologist here, have diagnosed multiple intraocular melanomas
