@drkerrynphelps Failure to fund research inevitably leads to mediocrity and paucity of ideas down the track. Researchers already have to spend far too much of their time trying to fund their research to the detriment of their creativity. Another example of bad governance.

@AusRepublic There needs to be a Council of Esteemed Australians. (Eg. Former State Governors, Aboriginal elders, ex-Supreme Court Judges, etc. but not politicians.) Their role would be to screen all those proposed down to 3. All Australians to vote- preferential voting.
