Only a fool refuses to change their mind, clinging to a flawed idea even after recognizing it’s wrong. Friend, growth demands the courage to rethink.

Commissars, fighters, ground forces, fellow South Africans, Africans, and diaspora, Good morning. We must never compromise our revolutionary ideas for political expediency. True feelings of love must drive us and therefore say to the person next to you that revolutionary good morning. Please give those African children a big hug to remind them that we love them and there's still hope because the @EFFSouthAfrica, a home of the hopeless, is still in existence. We shall overcome, SALUTE!✊🏿

He is survived by two sisters. The family is appealing for approximately KSh 839,000 (about USD 6,500) to cover repatriation and funeral expenses. They are calling on friends, well-wishers, and the Kenyan diaspora to support them during this difficult time.

The physically battered body of Bantu Stephen Biko lay in a mortuary near East London in South Africa 🇿🇦 at the time of his post-mortem, 700 miles from the place of his incarceration by the apartheid white security police, shortly after his death on 7 September 1977. As the South African government continued to propagate lies that Steve Biko had died while on hunger strike, an undercover journalist secretly took the photo of Biko's body and sent it to Britain. The photo bearing Biko's battered face confirmed to the world that the anti-apartheid student activist had been beaten to death while in prison. It later emerged that while in police custody, Biko was stripped naked, shackled to the wall, and severely beaten on the head by his interrogators. As a result, he suffered three brain lesions that resulted in a massive brain haemorrhage. According to an autopsy, an "extensive brain injury" had caused "centralisation of the blood circulation to such an extent that there had been intravasal blood coagulation, acute kidney failure, and uremia".

The 148 didn’t die because of them, they died because of a terrorist attack. Yes, the helicopter should have been deployed, but the responsibility to make it available lay with their father, who chose to use it for personal matters instead. Don’t shift blame onto children who had no control over the situation. Hold accountable the person whose decisions actually mattered. Keep the kids out of it.

Yes, the Holocaust was horrific. Millions were murdered and descendants suffered irreparable damage. Also, like colonialism, which we strongly condemned and fought against for emancipation, we have moved forward without endlessly centering it. We should do the same with the Holocaust and start focusing on the current realities of the world, especially the genocide in Gaza. We should not allow these senseless wars and killings to continue, only for our future children to commemorate a “Gaza Genocide Day” the same way we do the Holocaust, when it is something that can still be stopped now.

I'm just not sure that I really have the bandwidth to care anymore. For my entire life, I've been fed the idea that if we provide food, medicine, money, and infrastructure to Africans, then they will eventually find their way out of their miserable situation. But they haven't and in all likelihood, they never will. In fact, everything we do to help them just seems to make it even worse. No one - absolutely no one - takes pleasure in seeing children starve. But the constant violence and war and killing and raping and starving and poverty and illness...it's just neverending. I'm at the point where I just think we need to let nature take its course and let their population naturally reduce to a level they can independently sustain. We can't fix these people, and we're going to have to just accept that killing each other is just how they go about their lives.

🇸🇩 In Sudan, more than 60% of the population is suffering from acute food shortages, with millions forced to eat leaves or animal feed to survive. According to the 2026 Humanitarian Needs and Response Plan, 61.7% of the population, around 28.9 million people, are acutely food-insecure. Tens of millions in Sudan are living on just one meal a day as the crisis deepens. The war between the Muslim Brotherhood-linked Sudanese Armed Forces and the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces, now entering its third year, has displaced millions and fueled one of the world’s largest humanitarian crises. Reports based on interviews with farmers, traders, and humanitarian workers describe how the war is pushing communities toward famine, driven by the collapse of agriculture and the use of starvation as a weapon, including the deliberate destruction of farms and markets. Aid systems are under severe strain. Communal kitchens are struggling to meet growing demand, while funding cuts are limiting the ability of humanitarian organizations to respond. Women and girls are among the most affected, facing heightened risks of violence and rapes when going to fields, markets, or even collecting water. After years of intense Gaza reporting, the international mainstream media is turning a blind eye to the suffering in Sudan. Why?

INTRODUCING FINDTIBA: As the general public we have all struggled at some point to find the right doctor, pharmacy, lab or imaging center around us and as providers and facilities we keep looking for patients to attend to yet they could be closer to us that we know. Look at these scenarios: Katheu in Machakos has had knee pain for three weeks. She does not know whether she needs a physiotherapist, an orthopaedic surgeon, or just an X-ray first. She asks around, gets three different opinions, and still does not know where to start. Dr. Branice is a dentist who just opened her clinic along Kiambu Road. Fully equipped, licensed, and ready to serve — but the chairs are emptier than she expected. The patients who need her simply cannot find her. Kisumu Imaging Centre just installed a brand new MRI machine. Fully staffed and ready. But three kilometres away, Asamoh's third wife Atieno in Nyamasaria was sent all the way to Eldoret — with nobody knowing the machine was right there in their backyard. Three different people. Three different problems. One gap. Nobody could connect them — until now. 🌿 FindTiba is Kenya's healthcare matchmaker. We connect patients to the right doctors, specialists, diagnostic centres, laboratories, and pharmacies in their locality. Providers receive patients directly — and can refer them seamlessly to the right facility when needed. No more asking "does anyone know a rheumatologist in Meru?" A radiology centre in Machakos. A psychiatrist in Kwale. FindTiba links all of you on one platform. 🩺 Patients — find the right care without the guesswork 👨‍⚕️ Providers — receive patients directly and refer to trusted facilities 🏥 Facilities — get matched to patients and providers near you Verified. Licensed. Built for Kenya. 🇰🇪 We are launching — and we want you among the first. 🚀 👉 findtiba.co.ke 📲 WhatsApp: [your number] FindTiba — Find The Care You Need, Fast. 🌿

@PeterEvansO @KhalifKairo In addition those groups they call terrorists are only acting as militaries of their countries because their respective countries have no military or the military are loyal to a foreign country. Why has the west not labeled the Israeli occupation gangs terrorists?

If they weren’t funding houthis, Alshabaab , ISis and every wannabe terror outfit that hates the west id buy that narrative. I see local Kenyans supporting Iran and get surprised, This are the same people funneling weapons to people who blow up malls in Kenya.
Dan Mutungi@dannmuts

@KhalifKairo Well opinion is divided and this has been the position of Netanyahu but Iran's main objective is to use nukes as a deterrent.

@ChrisRMcGuire Americans want European nations to support their unwarranted attack on Iran, but act shocked when Iran has allies ready to stand with it including China. Who do you think you are to decide which nations are allowed to have friends and which ones must stand alone?

The fact that Beijing is planning to supply Iran with strategic weapons systems to kill U.S. troops in Iran surprises even me. China was much more careful about how it supported Russia in Ukraine; it supplied many drones and parts but was more careful about sending full weapons systems—and American troops weren’t even involved in that conflict. @POTUS is right to say that this is unacceptable and cannot happen. But it also shows how dominant Beijing believes its position is right now.
Bloomberg@business

US intelligence indicates that China is preparing to provide Iran with air defense systems in a matter of weeks, CNN reported. Beijing is expected to ship shoulder-fired, surface-to-air missiles known as Man-Portable Air Defense Systems. bloomberg.com/news/articles/…
