Listen to what Graham Platner’s wife has to say about this story. It’s not exactly the scandal it’s being made out to be. Seems like it only got attention because this former staffer Genevieve McDonald can’t stand to see Platner doing well after she fled his campaign.

I think what’s most uncomfortable for them is that they keep getting caught with their pants down over this guy. We’re talking six plus cases of infidelity on an app that pedophiles use to communicate with minors, on top of disparaging comments about veterans, on top of a fascination with Nazi imagery. And that’s what we know about right now - the gears are already spinning to prepare the next bit of oppo that will drop soon.

What a drug- or alcohol-induced, extremely idiotic, and delusional hot take this is, claiming that Platner is “doing well” at all. Earth to Dustin: this extreme case of infidelity aside, Platner joined an app that is known for being used by pedophiles. On top of that, he has repeatedly disparaged law enforcement, and American veterans and service members. And on top of that, he ran around most of his adult life with a Nazi-inspired tattoo on his chest. Platner was NEVER doing well at all!

I don’t think a sexting scandal will hurt the Nazi tattoo guy. What voter is cool with the SS death camp tat, and everything else we know, but draws the line here? However, there are whispers about potential trouble ahead on a related front that could cause problems.
