@matoxley Gotta say as a fan, this format is the best ever. P2 is like qualy. Qualy is life and death. Then I get the Sprint. Bit of a settler but there's points so the smart guys are really at it.
Then still a GP to go.
Unreal and can't miss a single minute

@matoxley Man what a Lawsonesq performance. Shades of 89.
#fuckaprillia 😉

MM93 said earlier today, "We are defending in a good way" ie his shoulder still isn't fully fixed, which makes that sprint victory fairly ominous 😎😎👏👏

We've already sold MORE THAN HALF of the latest print of MARC MÁRQUEZ The Biography and we won’t print any more for several years. This is the ONLY MM93 bio that covers his life all the way through his remarkable comeback to his 2025 title success. Click the link matoxley.bigcartel.com/product/marc-m…

@matoxley Saw this pop up a week before your pod. Didn't realise the timing of it though.

What are the chances - Netflix Brazil released a film about the 1987 Goiânia nuclear incident a few weeks ago. Horrific when the little girl starts playing with the radioactive powder - she was one of four fatalities

@matoxley Not as far as the F1 season 😉
Money talks.
The rest of us walk.

@UprightSpeedway No one could convince me that one of these lads on one of these bikes doesn't score 5 points in a current GP - with 20 laps practice before the start.
English

@Stephen78857051 Yes it is a short one. Most guys have it long enough to be able to do certain things without it pulling out/off. Some have it very short and tight and some pull it as they come into the pits. Plug it back in as they get onto the bike the next time. I never did that.
English

@PeterPono84 Me too but thought it was a bit too short?
English

@Stephen78857051 When I went road racing after speedway, I had the same cord fitted to my CBR600. Should've seen the road racers faces when they said what's that? And I replied to cut the engine when I crash. It was like they never thought of crashing where I think Speedway was the opposite.

@PeterBom4 @MotoGP @YamahaMotoGP @matoxley I'm sure times have changed etc etc however it was always a rule with chain that a half link was not as strong as a full link. I'm worried if they can't find a wheelbase and sprocket combination to be able to get rid of that.
English

Yamaha's V4 project might be young, they seems to be very sure what swingarm lenght they need, hence the 'half link' in the chain. 📸Cr. 100008Foto #oxleybommotogp podcast.

@Stephen78857051 Ivan would have been a bugger to chase. Rarely went faster than he needed to do to win so a lot of guys were probably riding around thinking they had the speed to catch and pass him. He spent a lot of time focused on risk reduction.
English

@UprightSpeedway Mmmm does anyone other than Vaculik have his throttle hand and arm down that low?
English

@AntonioRamosGP I haven't been there, but I've done that!
The Schwantz I mean.

@RacingBackPod @ktm450sx Nice one guys. I'd love to hear Randy talk about his last 2 podiums. Especially the race on the Cagiva at Spa.
English

At 20 years old, battling a 2-time World Champion in the 500 CC class was a peak moment, even without the win. Medal contention at that age, on unfamiliar circuits, was extraordinary. #Racing #Motorsports #YouthAchievement
English

@UprightSpeedway Oh yeah.
Looking back, when has there been 3 such different characters, styles, approaches to the sport on the WF podium? I don't know but interesting thought.
English

@UprightSpeedway Looks like it was a nasty one.
Was always the same official when I crashed at Gosford or seemed like it. "Are you ok Peter?" Me, usually but not always, "I think so". "Did you black out?" Me, "no, but I wish I did!"

@ringmagazine Man, what a fight. Who, past or present whoops either of these guys on that night? Same goes for Manilla. As Ali said about Joe, they'd have whooped anybody.

🗓️ On this day in 1971, Joe Frazier became the first man to defeat Muhammad Ali in the Fight Of The Century at Madison Square Garden.
Frazier dropped Ali in the final round on his way to a unanimous decision victory to retain The Ring, WBA and WBC heavyweight titles 👑
