He's chameleon, comedian, Corinthian, and caricature. One of David Bowie’s very greatest songs. Agree?

yes, the website version is a crime against history. Historical truth is the bedrock of the "civilization" its enemies and destroyers keep claiming they defend. Can someone please start and float The Orwell Project 2026? Before it's too late and the O'Briens win for good.

THE FORGOTTEN CHRISTIAN MARTYRS OF LÜBECK
These three Catholic priests-- Johannes Prassek, Eduard Müller, Hermann Lange-- and Protestant pastor Karl Friedrich Stellbrink are martyrs too few people know about.
They are all German who stood against Nazism and were barbarically beheaded in rapid succession by guillotine on the orders of Joseph Goebbels 10 November 1943, in Hamburg,
On the top left was Johannes Prassek who openly condemned the persecution and deportation of Jews, calling it a grave sin and incompatible with Christianity, and denounced anti-Semitism as unchristian.
On the top right is Hermann Lange a Catholic priest of the Diocese of Osnabrück who argued openly against Nazism and told people conscience stands above state commands.
On the bottom left is Eduard Müller, a German Catholic priest from Neumünster, who rejected Nazism and refuse to cooperate with State propaganda.
On the bottom right is Karl Friedrich Stellbrink a German Lutheran pastor in Lübeck who publicly condemned Nazi crimes and preached from from the pulpit saying the destruction of Allied bombings was God’s judgment on Germany for its crimes.
May their memories be a blessing and an inspiration for future generations.

Jimmy Lai should be in the same league as the many political prisoners who garnered widespread attention through international campaigns. People such as:
> Nelson Mandela
> Aung San Suu Kyi
> Václav Havel
Somehow, the international media and Hollywood celebrities are relatively muted.
One can only speculate as to why. Many don’t want to anger Jimmy’s persecutors (the CCP), for they will suffer economic consequences.
Perhaps Jimmy - being both a Christian and a vocal free market advocate - doesn’t align with their values.
Whatever the reason, I hope the UK and US government manage to intervene somehow.
The 78 yr old media mogul who founded Apple Day in Hong Kong has been convicted under national security offenses.
Over the last 5 years he has been held in solitary confinement, awaiting his sentencing. During this time, the Chinese government denied him access to Holy Communion and other sacraments.
As a British citizen, Jimmy could have fled and lived the remainder of his life as a free man. But he chose to stay behind alongside the people of Hong Kong whose plight he has illuminated and defended for so long.
As @benedictrogers writes,
“The two leaders who more than any other have a responsibility to demand his release: British Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer and Pope Leo XIV. Pope Leo has at least sent a symbolic message by meeting Mr Lai’s wife and daughter recently. Keir Starmer has condemned the verdict. But both must now join forces to mobilise the world to free Mr Lai
