Another win for tokenized stocks. The SEC has approved Nasdaq's proposed rule change enabling the trading of tokenized securities on its exchange, marking a pivotal step toward a regulated, institutional-grade market for tokenized assets in the United States. In a statement to @CoinDesk, Ondo President @Iandebode said: “This builds on the SEC's work with the DTC, and it's an encouraging one. Progress toward 24/7 markets, even in permissioned form, is positive for tokenized securities across the board.” This approval validates what we have long believed: tokenizing publicly listed equities and other real-world assets can be both transformative and compliant. The path is now clearer than ever for tokenized securities to become core components of U.S. capital markets. With 60% market share in tokenized stocks, tens of thousands of holders, and millions of trades onchain, Ondo is building toward a future where the world's capital markets are open, accessible, and onchain.
