Always a good day when you find a Yellow-browed warbler. This one was in the Balmedie beach car park, with some Goldcrests and Blackcaps. #birding

Best views I’ve ever had of a Yellow-browed Warbler, yesterday at Rattray. A few Redwings and Blackcaps in the area as well. Strathbeg Plantation very quiet.

It was quite something to have the Steppe Grey Shrike all to myself this evening, and have it repeatedly fly towards me. Many thanks to the finder. @birdinglothian

A promising day weather wise, but not the hoped for migrants. Lesser whitethroat at Rattray and Pied Fly at Buchan being the best. However, a pine marten at the Strathbeg plantation was the biggest surprise of the day!

After 19yrs&a lot of use, the focus wheel has become loose 1 too many times on my @SwarovskiOptik ELs. I'm also looking to downsize (42s to 32s). I've not always had the best customer service from Swaro &thinking of switching to @ZEISSBirding. What would you go for? Any advice?

An amazing Orca experience during the @heatherleabirds Orkney High Summer trip. On Hoy we spent 3 hours continually watching this group of 11 hunting and playing. As we left the island, they came leaping towards, then right under the ferry. Fantastic!
