@Bubblebathgirl I wonder if it’s because the Trump family has accepted hundreds of millions of dollars from foreign nationals while serving in official government capacities?

Media coverage of President Trump has been ridiculously negative ever since he entered politics. But you don’t really get a sense of how ridiculous it’s been until you compare it to their coverage of Biden. Even after Biden had the worst administration in U.S. history and was exposed as completely unfit to serve, the media still covered him more favorably than they have Trump throughout and even between his two terms. MSM is the pusher of TDS and why many Democrats and some RINOs continue to surge uncontrollably farther to the loony left.

Gas prices were low during President Trump’s first term and skyrocketed under Joe Biden. They were low during the first year of Trump’s second term and are now high this year because of Iran and efforts to undo the damage Biden did to American energy production. What’s remarkable is that gas prices are still averaging lower during Trump’s current term than they did under Biden, even with the recent increases. You’d never know that if you just watched the MSM, of course. They’re still rife with TDS and will go back to mostly ignoring gas prices once the Iran conflict is over and prices fall.

@RyanHoliday the most corrupt family in history is a death match between the clinton’s and bidens, so your very first sentence is a non sequitur, the rest is an imagined reality playing inside your head which you imbue upon the world you need psychological help.

Lol. Rolling your eyes at the performative philosophy of a member of the most corrupt family in American history is apparently 'fuming'? Although if there was anything to be mad about these days, I think objecting to people lighting the world on fire so they can make a killing in prediction markets and kickbacks is probably it. yahoo.com/entertainment/…

@AndrewKolvet We added no new jobs to the economy over the last year, every commodity we depend on is more expensive, and we’ve added trillions to our deficit. We can all feel the state of the economy right now as one party controls all branches of government.

@AdMalm15 Fair enough. Is it problematic that he ran on the platform of no new wars? That he lied to us last year saying Iran’s nuclear capabilities were completely obliterated? That there has been no vote on a war he started that the majority of Americans oppose? pewresearch.org/politics/2026/…

Fun fact of the day! Illegal aliens contribute about $31 billion in tax revenue per year, according to a report by FAIR. But they cost Americans an estimated $182 billion per year. Never let a Democrat claim illegals aren't a drain on the economy.

@angiekaye999 @JonLemire The Voting Rights Act was created to allow minorities to vote for who they wanted and recieve representation for that vote. What we saw prior to the VRA was minorities voting for who they wanted and receiving no representation for those votes. That is what was just undone.

This is the question worth asking every time a story like this comes out: if there’s no money for your health care, your kids’ schools, or the programs your family depends on, where is it going?      The Trump Administration just paid $17.4 million to fix two decorative fountains outside the White House. Three years ago, the same job was estimated at $3.3 million.       And guess what? The construction company that got the contract is the same one building Trump’s $400 million White House ballroom, and they got it without any competitive bidding whatsoever. The contract wasn’t even posted publicly, as required by federal law.      So how do you get from $3.3 million to $17.4 million? They added 27% for inflation. Then they added another 24% for inflation again. Then they tacked on additional charges that federal contracting experts said they had never seen before in their careers.      And the justification for bypassing the normal bidding process entirely? The fountains needed to be ready for America’s 250th anniversary. It’s worth noting that these fountains haven’t worked for nearly a decade. If the repairs were truly that urgent, why are they only fixing them now, and why are taxpayers footing a surcharge for the rush?      You are paying for this.   nytimes.com/2026/04/25/us/…

@whisperingcandl @darkprometheus1 @Ike_Saul @grok Fair enough. Even with transparency, it doesn’t solve the problem of public officials being able to invest financially in the industries they regulate. Seems incredibly dangerous to have essentially no oversight of this in either Congress or the White House.

If you run a backtest of some of the larger volume people, you can do quite well. I wouldn't say "massive". Nontrivial though, in some trades. Others not so much. I don't follow they're trades as a general rule and I still consistently end up in the 30th percentile of their 5 yr returns. Again, there is no abuse with full transparency. That's where I would focus my legislative efforts. More rapid, consistent transparency.

@whisperingcandl @darkprometheus1 @Ike_Saul @grok Even if you follow the trades, their disclosures are only required within 45 days, giving a massive buffer for increased profitability gained on insider information. Regardless, we’re letting people profit off industries they regulate. The room for abuse is massive.

Ans what the AI told you is not at all illegal or corruption 🤣🤣 Otherwise the entire government would be in prison cause of their family who arent in government got access to something because of their relationship. Thats not how it works. You cannor bar family who are private citizens from doing business. Thats why congres cannot make a stock trading bill that prevents Pelosi from trading cause her husband who is a private citizen as a hedge fund manager is trading, not her. You cannot prevent him as a private citizen from participating in the free market.
