Does anyone else remember in primary school visiting a Healthy Harold Van? Such a great idea to encourage and promote health and safety of all Australian children and their families. Share your memories of Healthy Harold in the comments. #SDG3 lifeeducation.org.au/about-us/healt…

@GrimmondLee What a great way to simplify and give a visual cue for students around being active. This could even be displayed in the classroom to promote a healthy lifestyle. Great find!

The Kid's Activity Pyramid is a great visual resource providing examples of physical activity needed during a week. This could be used as a homework task for students to see how much #PhysicalActivity they are participating in. #UoNTeach #SDG3

Although it would be ideal to address all six 21st century learning skills, I will be integrating and looking into implementing collaboration and the use of ICT for learning. I believe these are essential for discussing good health and wellbeing. #SDG3 #EDUC4750
Jorja Poulton@PoultonJorja

For pre-service teachers focusing on #SDG3, what 21st Century Learning Skills are you thinking of using? I think I will look into communication and self-regulation. I believe these are 2 very important skills to understand when discussing mental health and wellbeing! #EDUC4750

Cyber bullying is not spoken about enough. It is important that we can inform our students so they have the skills and awareness to stop cyber bullying. #SDG3 #EDUC4750
Miss Ambrum@AmbrumMiss

Cyber bullying is becoming more common among primary schools. @headspace_aus have shared some really awesome facts about bullying & things that can be said or done about it. It is so important we bring awareness to bullying & the negative impacts it has! #uonteach #Educ4750 #SDG3

Who else has heard of Little Athletics? What a remarkable way to get kids active outside of school. @ServiceNSW also provides two $100 vouchers to per child to parents to use towards sport and recreation costs each year! #SDG3 #Educ4750 lansw.com.au

To introduce the topics of Mental Health and Wellbeing, I will be using picture books to promote students critical thinking and encourage conversation about the topic. How are other educators introducing this topic to their students? #SDG3 #Educ4750 thriveglobal.com/stories/19-mus…

What a great resource! By promoting students to participate in creating gardens at school, students will be influenced to create a garden at home encouraging them in healthy eating and a healthy lifestyle. #SDG3 #EDUC4750

Such a good video😍 to show teachers how to create food gardens🥦🥬🍅 in their schools. This makes it less daunting for those wanting to implement food gardens ✅. How could you use these ingredients? What other projects could be created from this? growveg.com.au/guides/how-to-… #SDG3

This is what my unit of work will be based around - the creation of food gardens. Such a great way for students to get involved. Vegetables and fruits that will be grown will be used in the school canteen, for crunch and sip breaks, and maybe even a cooking class #UoNTeach #SDG3

Smiling mind is a great resource to help children relax through meditation. They can use these skills to help regulate their emotions in the classroom. Thanks for sharing
Renee Pettet@PettetRenee

Have any fellow educators used @Smiling_Mind whole-class and individual online resources? It is designed to equip young people with the integral skills they need to thrive in life. Let me know how you would enjoy this in your classroom. #SDG3 #EDUC4750 smilingmind.com.au

@GrimmondLee Such a great idea! Research has even shown that yoga assists students with behaviour management and improves academic performance by increasing blood flow to the brain.
