This week, Community Engagement Office Sergeant Costa and Zone 2 Community Resource Officer Kimbrough attended an after school event with the Downtown Safety Coalition and addressed the Strip District Neighbors Town Hall regarding safety concerns along the River Walk.

On Tuesday, PBP officers participated in @BOMAPgh's presentation to local stakeholders regarding downtown safety. The presentation, the fifth of its kind, provided data and addressed the most common issues facing downtown.

Community Engagement Officer Dave Shifren and Zone 2’s SaferTogether Coordinator Ian Reynolds joined the Neighborhood Resilience Project’s monthly Game Night on Thursday, where neighbors meet monthly to partake in board games, card games, and other bonding activities.

Over the last two days, officers spoke with students at Pittsburgh CAPA to address concerns about safety downtown before and after school. This is another way PBP is working with children and young adults to ensure their safety, and reduce and mediate conflicts between students.

Pittsburgh Police hand-delivered 3,832 turkey dinners throughout the City of #Pittsburgh this Thanksgiving. The “Get Stuffed With Love” program is in its 19th year. Officers and dozens of volunteers ensured that those in need were cared for on the holiday. Happy Thanksgiving!

We hope everyone enjoyed Light Up Night! Group Violence Intervention, REACH, and the Prince Hall Masons assisted @PghPublicSafety, @PghPolice and local law enforcement in making downtown safe for everyone. As a result of these efforts, Pittsburgh did not have any major incidents.
