Finally watched the trailer for Project Hail Mary. All the fellas swear it’s a banger but it looks like a run-of-the-mill apocalypse film to me. I didn’t care for The Martian at all. Like, at. all. But the entire globe loved that, so maybe I’m wrong 🤷‍♂️

My sister found a trove of essays (Jr High to college), notebooks full of quotes, newspaper clippings, missionary calendars, and so much more from our mother. Great but now what? Some of it we will scan and/or preserve but what do we do with the rest? Sincere suggestions?

Tonight my aunt claimed my grandma built B17s during WW2. Also that she was one of several models used to make some of the iconic “Rosie the Riveter” propaganda art.

As a mortician, I’ve witnessed the grief of families who lose a child, and it has left a lasting mark on my heart. The pain of such a loss is unimaginable and underscores how precious and fragile life truly is. In my personal life, I’ve seen the incredible joy and love that come from raising children, including one with severe physical disabilities. When my wife learned of our son’s condition during pregnancy, she faced a challenging path, but he has provided meaning and unconditional love. Similarly, my nephew with Down syndrome has brought immeasurable joy to our family. These experiences have shown me that every life, no matter the challenges, holds immense value and potential for love. Because of these deeply personal and professional experiences, I find it difficult to reconcile abortion with what I’ve seen and felt. I believe in the beauty of life, even amid hardship, and I hold a deep conviction that every life is worth cherishing. This is why I feel so strongly about the issue and why it breaks my heart to see life treated as disposable.
